The largest Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in the Somme.
Memorial Terre-neuvien De Beaumont-hamel
A Memorial Park for the Newfoundland Regiment where the battlefield has been preserved as it was, here we walk through authentic trenches used on 1st July 1916, the fist day of the Batlle of the Somme.

5.00A very moving and emotional tour, that was something we have always wanted to do, Phil our tour guide was to say the least AMAZING very knowledgeable and went above and beyond for all of the families from the tour finding details and information and locations of family members that served in the war. He also helped us organise transport back to Arras which is an amazing city, would highly recommend Phil and the tour to anyone interested in a first class experience visiting Villers-Bretonneux, thanks Phil

5.00We had a customised tour with Joe and it was incredible. He traced the footsteps of my grandfather who was wounded both at Fromelles and Fler. Joe made the whole day very moving, informative and so personalised for my grandfathers experience. I really came to understand things about him and his war experience that I didn’t realise before.

5.00Very informative. We knew a bit about the Australian contribution to the war but this trip fleshed out a bit more detail. Amazing and sad to see so many cemeteries and memorials in such a small area.

5.00This is a journey every Australian should take, and thanks to Phil from "Out in the Somme Day" tours, with his expertise, preparation and knowledge it was extremely rewarding. Phil also made the effort to locate a grave of a relative for a friend accompanying us which she was most grateful for. For one with a military background and who always had the desire to visit the Western Front, I found this tour the perfect way to see it.
