What To Expect

Participants of this program will learn how to prepare an original Austrian Apple Strudel. During the class you will be guided by an experienced chef. Small Groups of 3 to 5 people will be asked to fully partake in all the stages of preparation. Activities such as stretching out the pastry can be a lot of fun and the whole experience of making the strudel is guaranteed to be as rewarding as enjoying the final outcome itself. Additional to the Apple Strudel, participants have the chance to try their hands on to one of the most famous and spectacular Dessert in Salzburg - the Salzburger Nockerl or depends on the program shape your own flufy salzburg prezel. The program also includes a traditional goulash soup for lunch which will be served before you get your own baked creations (vegetarian/vegan lunch option also available).

Loved this class and had lots of fun as an adult family. Enjoyed making and eating the apple strudel and Christmas biscuits and had a delicious goulash soup for lunch after. Highly recommend, great family activity especially in Winter when there's less to do in Salzburg

Location right near river so easy to navigate to the place. Cry polite instructors, tables all set ready for class, gulash fantastic. This class gets strudle done in no time, way easier than what we thought. Family style dining after prep got whole class talking to each other which is a positive. Overall, great.

For friend’s 60th celebratory trip to Salzburg. Had such fun. Really good teaching and we got fully involved in the cooking. Staff very attentive and then to eat our labours was delicious even though I say so myself. Group of 10 and that did not phase them! Very attentive and fun! We had the best 2 hours and a delicious Goulash too !! Thoroughly recommend! You can buy a glass or three of vino too if you wish whilst showing off your baking skills !! Brilliant!!

I received confirmation email with barcode. We drove from Munich area to Salzburg. The cooking school did not have room for us so we were turned away! They promised a refund. Didn't happen. I had to contest it on my credit card. (They did give us free strudel which was nice.) Very disappointed in the communication between School & Reservation system.

We really enjoyed this cooking class! The school is located on the edge of Old Town but not hard at all to find with the provided directions. It's located inside/under one of the tall mountains bordering central Salzburg so the inside looks like a cave and was very cozy! The instructor was very detailed in her steps and let us ask questions, take photos/videos and move around to each table helping us with the more complicated steps. We made apple strudel and Salzburger Nockrel. Before enjoying our "creations" as the instructor called them, we enjoyed a hearty bowl of beef goulash and had a chance to chat with the other cooking class students. We recommend this class for anyone looking to get first hand experience in the local cuisine!
