My husband and I were joined by 2 other couples and we were immediately impressed with the van and the ear pieces we were given so we all could hear Mark (our guide) give a thorough talk about Amish and Mennonite history. He was open to questions which we were all full of. Once we got there the couple and their 2 young children were very welcoming and the food was fantastic and plentiful and then they gave a tour of their farm and met their horses. We highly recommend this tour.

I took the tour that included a meal in an Amish home. We were treated to a delicious home-cooked meal at Sara Fisher’s home (meatballs, pot roast, new potatoes, macaroni and cheese, bread, salad, peas, beets, and strawberry pie). Many of the vegetables were out of her own garden. It was interesting to get to see inside an Amish home. She was very friendly and answered our questions about Amish customs, and even played the harmonica for us ! Our tour guide was very friendly and informative regarding Amish history and customs. Upon returning from the meal, I hopped back in the van and took the Amish Immersion tour, where we stopped at several Amish businesses and farms. I had taken this tour two years ago and had enjoyed it so much that I wanted to do it again. I would definitely recommend either of these tours !

Tour started on time. Our guide Mosses was very knowledgeable about Amish culture and way of life. He drove us 30 minutes to and from the Amish family home. During this drive we got to see the countryside, Amish working in their fields and riding their horse carts on the road beside us while Mosses explained the history of Amish people. Once at the home, our hosts Emma and Louise served a very delicious dinner with home made bread, apple sauce, home made jelly, beet roots, peanut butter, buttered noodles, pickled vegetables, mashed potatoes, baked chicken, meat loaf, and deserts. We then spent time walking around their field and meeting their pet animals. Me and my two daughters thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. One of the best experiences I have ever had in my travels. Must do if you have young kids for them to see Amish life up close.

The tour driver was very professional and knowledgeable of the Amish culture and history. Very friendly. The Amish family we visited and had dinner with was the best! Very young couple and friendly. Their house was beautiful and the dinner was excellent. Homemade bread with the peanut butter mix, salad, grilled chicken, beef tips in gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, butter sauce noodles, local creamery ice cream, Whoopi pie, and strawberry cream cheese pie. Everything locally grown. I recommend this tour company 100%. They far exceed my expectations.

Dale was a fantastic group leader. Having grown up in the area, he was very knowledgeable about the area and Amish culture; I cannot remember a more interesting tour. Our dinner hosts were so friendly and it was fun to meet them and their family, and to tour their beautiful farm. They were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and plentiful; there was more than the 12 of us (plus them and their family) could eat, and so many different dishes. It was a wonderful tour and worth every penny. We would certainly use this company again.

First- our tour guide Dave was fantastic! So knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions. Very nice guy and the tour of the beautiful Lancaster County was great. Now to the lunch- the family was very welcoming and kind. They have a beautiful home and yard. Their 2 youngest children were so sweet and the older girls were very nice! All were so helpful. The food we were served was very good for the most part. The bread was very average- seemed old and the jam tasted fermented-perhaps old as well. The chicken and beef were delicious as were the mashed potatoes! Amazing corn too. We were disappointed not to have been served, fresh warm bread with the famous Amish peanut butter spread. The food was served on plates but with plastic silverware and plastic cups of water. Nice lemonade or iced tea would have been appreciated. Seems like the host, Sara, was on autopilot and dialed it in that day. The dessert of pie and ice cream were fine. Nothing special. But all in all- would definitely recommend this tour and a peek into Amish living. Well worth doing!
