Christian Zamora was a great tour guide. He shared interesting details about the history, made it fun and entertaining. He was also a great host. He also stopped when we needed to stop for a refreshment or the bathroom without hesitation. I would ask for Christian.

This was a private tour for us. Andres drove us in a comfortable ride to Salamanca and Avila. It’s a walking tour exploring both towns. We explored the gothic church in Salamanca and the first university in Spain. We visited the birth place of Saint Teresa de Jesus in Avila. There is a relic of the saint for visitors to see. My husband and I enjoyed the splendors of the gothic cathedral along with the scrumptious lunch at San Polo restaurant. Avila is a walled town that gives you a glimpse of what life might of been like during the 16th century and even before that.! Andres shared lots of interesting history and facts about each site. It’s truly spectacular! He was a fantastic specialist!

Very friendly our guide, Andres. He had a lot of patience. I think in Salamanca you have to include besides the towers enter the cathedral below.

Tim, the guide, was very accommodating and nice guy. It was a small group which was great. Long day but Salamanca is definitely worth seeing. Avilla is a small quiet town but also interesting to see. My only issue was that the van was pretty tight for 8 people and not that comfortable. Otherwise pretty much what we expected.

As expected, the sights were all in the program, the travel times - with breaks, however, were over 5.5h. The tour guide explained perfectly in Spanish, English and for us in German.

It was a long day with lots to see and experience. So worth it. Lots of history and detailed info presented in narrative that gives both facts and historical context. Lunch was excellent. Menu of the day a good value.

We were a group of 6 (from different parts of the US and one from Uruguay), all easy to be with. Our guide Andreas and a guide in training, Tim were both very personable and Andreas was well informed, speaks perfect English and managed the itinerary and day as a real professional. He offered up an excellent place for lunch in Salamanca and it was a lovely touch to buy us all drinks at the end of our time in Avila before driving back to Madrid. Would definitely recommend and take another tour with them.

Andres was fabulous. He took his time explaining all points of interest. I was showing my wife the university where I studied for a semester. She finally understood that the whole town is the university. Andres arranged for me to pass time in a palace having a coffee in Avila while the rest of the group explored the town. My ability to scale the hills failed but spending time relaxing was well worth it.

It was a very interesting & insightful walking tour of both Avila & Salamanca. Our wonderfully knowledgeable & local tour guide Andy, made the tour extremely enjoyable & also was very kind with taking excellent photography when asked. Pickup & drop off was a very Centralized location. The car ride was very smooth with a rest stop on the way, and the restaurant option that was recommended by Andy was phenomenal. I would recommend this tour to anyone who’s looking to get an interesting walk-through and tasting of these 2 amazing cities via day trips from Madrid…. I would also recommend Andy as your tour guide if you’re interested in any architecture or history of the region due to him being very knowledgeable about these areas & region.
