While in Madrid, I was looking at visiting Salamanca, and I researched the train timetables. I found that getting there directly by train was not easy, and there weren’t that many trains. Booking this trip was a very good alternative. I had a guide that brought a group to see Salamanca, and as a bonus, I also got to see Ávila. In Salamanca, we were given a tour of some of the important sights in Salamanca, and we were also given information on where we could buy lunch. The cathedral in Salamanca was included, and this was the most important thing to see, so I was glad it was included. If you want, you can also climb the tower for a panoramic view of Salamanca. This is not included, but the cost is very low. After Salamanca we were given a tour of Ávila, and as a bonus, we had a free tasting of some of the local sweet treats made there. We were given free time to explore Ávila and a meeting time. The streets inside the city walls of Ávila can be a bit of a maze, so it is important to not get lost inside the walls while the meeting time to get back to Madrid approaches.

Both cities were amazing. It was great having a tour that went to both cities. Like many tours similar to this it would have been perfect to have 1 more hour in each place. Ignacio was a great tour guide.

Great experience The bus was on time and having the opportunity to visit both UNESCO Heritage cities in the same day was great.

Everything was planned to the finest detail. I just wish I had more time in Salamanca - maybe an option would be to have a trip with just Salamanca.
