Ayutthaya is an ancient city in Thailand that's located north of Bangkok. It was the capital of the Siamese Kingdom from the 14th to the 18th centuries. Today, it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular destination for history buffs and culture lovers.

Trip will start from Bangkok and driving to Ayutthaya, The Professional tour guide will take you through the remains of the city, showing you all of the most famous landmarks and telling their story.

Ayutthaya was abandoned after the war attracted by the Burmese in April 1767, and although many buildings were damaged or destroyed you can still get an amazing sense of what this place must have once been like.

What To Expect

Wat Lokkayasutha is located at Tambol Pratuchai, Amphur Pranakornsriayuttaya, Pranakornsriayuttaya. The location is near the Ruin Royal old Palace and Wat Prasrisanpetch which are both the centers of the Ayuttaya Kingdom. Therefore, this is another important temple in Ayuttaya

Wat Phu Khao Thong (Golden Mount)

Wat Phukhao Thong or the Monastery of the Golden Mount is located off the city island in the plains 2 Km northwest of Ayutthaya in Phukhao Thong Sub-district. The monastery was built by King Ramesuan (r. 1369-1370 / 1388-1395) in 1395. (1) The actual temple’s name refers to the high chedi on its northeast side. At the time of construction of the monastery, this chedi was inexistent; hence the temple probably had another name.

Elena was the best guide in Ayutthaya, she explained us the history behind this wonderful place! But the best was her food recommendation, amazing, local and authentic flavors.

Elena was extremely responsive in communicating with me via text, answering my questions thoroughly to create a perfect Ayutthaya day trip for two adults with six children, aged 5-17. Our tour guide, Jazzy, was amazing, providing a breadth of historical and virtual information with humor and joy that engaged all of us. Even the five year old was asking questions! Our lunch stop, Old City Coffee, recommended by Elena, reserved tables for us and were very patient with all of our questions regarding Thai cuisine, spicy levels, etc. The food was very fresh and artistically presented, while still maintaining budget-friendly prices. Our driver was very safe. He provided cold water bottles after each temple stop and even handed each of us ice-cold face wipes to use after our hikes amongst the ruins. Thanks to Elena’s research, she discovered a 40- minute boat tour around the city that was running a great promotion. We loved a chance to see the ruins and current city from the water, while resting our feet and enjoying the breeze. I recommend Elena, Jazzy and her touring company without reservation and hope to go on further excursions with them again!
