What To Expect
Historic City of Ayutthaya
Historic City of Ayutthaya houses Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the largest temple ruin in Ayutthaya which was awarded as a UNESCO Heritage site. This temple is a must-visit for all Ayutthaya travelers since this temple was the personal temple of Thai kings in the Ayutthaya period. The highlight of this temple is the three large stupas standing at the center of the temple. The stupas were built for containing relics of all Kings of Ayutthaya. The temple is highly valuable for people seeking to study Thai history. For your information, Wat Phra Si Sanphet was located inside the Grand Palace of Ayutthaya and served as the royal Chapel, as Wat Phra Kaeo does in Bangkok. In Ayutthaya's heyday, this was the largest temple in the city. When King Borom Trai Lokanat commanded the construction of new living quarters, this residential palace was transformed into a temple and the establishment of Wat Phra Si Sanphet.
Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit
Viharn Pra Mongkolborpit houses one of the largest bronze Buddha images in Thailand. Many Thai Buddhists visit this temple to cherish the beauty of the huge golden Buddha image. The Buddha image is in the attitude of subduing Mara. This Buddha image has a lap measurement of 9.55 meters and a height of 12.45 meters. You will need to look up to the ceiling to admire the huge size of this Buddha image.

3.00As far as the tour is concerned it was good. We paid for a private tour, but it was disappointing that the company wanted to penny pinch on the lunch. The positives: - Good tour guide - Flexible, but then again, it was a private tour. the negatives: - the vehicle provided was an old SUV which compared to other private tours felt a bit cramped. - the tour comes with a "complimentary" lunch which is at a restaurant of their choice. The budget that they had allocated per person ( 200 baht) covers only the cheapest meal ( 180 baht) and a water. Initially we weren't even given the choice to order what we wanted. Later when we said that we don't want the meal that they ordered, they agreed to allow us to choose with the condition that we pay for anything extra. Considering we had paid close to £240 ( almost 10,000 baht) for the tour, penny pinching for a few hundred baht just spoiled our experience.

5.00Boombiim was so amazing she guided us through the temples and the history behind the stories and traditions of Bangkok. She helped us navigate Bangkok and arranged another tour that catered to all the things and places we wanted to explore. Her attention to our needs was outstanding. This tour is a must and if you want an experience that you will not regret book this tour and ask for Boombiim. We also need to shout out to the driver he was also outstanding. It was 33 degrees and he was ready with water and cold cloth when we got back to the car.
Ice was an amazing tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and took excellent pictures of us at the sites.

5.00Highly recommend this experience. The temples were beautiful. The lunch was delicious. Ice was the best guide. He even bought us some local treats which were delicious. We booked a tour with him for the next day too and can’t wait.

5.00This tour was wonderful!! Our tour guide was Poppy who was an outstanding guide. It was a seamless tour—our car was always waiting when we finished sightseeing and Poppy told us all about the history and functions of the shrines. Poppy called the restaurant ahead so our food was ready right when we arrived and sat down. The food was AMAZING!! My daughter loved the chicken dish so much that she made us order a second one. Poppy asked us our preference and ordered the food ahead of time for us. The coconut soup was probably the best I’ve ever had in all my life. Poppy took videos of us at all the picture spots and made a video for us which she sent to me before the tour ended. She is so thoughtful and funny and welcoming and we loved our time with her. I highly recommend going on this tour—it made our day so easy and took all the hard work out of our hands.
