Lin was a great guide along a beautiful and somewhat rugged walk. Got thoroughly soaked in a storm, adding to the experience!

Great National Park and very friendly guide. Not organized well enough. Two group members were lost for 20-30 minutes because the motorbike drivers had not been given the right instructions - they were not lost together but all alone one by one. One was even given directions to go down a path the group never went, where she could have been seriously lost in the rain forest! She found her way back to the group on her own (1 km). If motorbikes always drived together (e.g. two and two), no one would have been all alone. Also, it would have felt safer if the motorbike drivers had been introduced. Finally, this is a challenging trek! This could have been stated more clearly.

If I had known how much hiking was involved, I wouldn’t have booked it. I’m glad I didn’t know. It was gruelling at times but well worth it. The scenery was amazing! Unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy for the first half, so we didn’t get to see the stunning views from the top. They did not have enough motorbikes for everyone, but they would go back for anyone left behind. Our guides, Won and Bia, were wonderful! They were encouraging, patient and helpful throughout our journey. The description of the tour needs to be amended. At the beginning, it states “for ages 6-99.” There is no way! It is a long and demanding trek. My hubby (72) did better than I did (66). I had to stop frequently to catch my breath. The younger people in our group found it easier than I did. Also, with the loss of the road (due to the typhoon 3 months ago I was told), you have to take a challenging hike through the forest to get to the motorbikes. Glad I did it, but I wouldn’t do it again! lol

The excursion is fine but the organization has flaws, it seems that there are not enough motorcycles and they are leaving you lying halfway to go and find others, my husband and I have been made to get off the bike more than two km before reaching the top of a fairly sloppy viewpoint and with little to do with the intense fog, we have arrived upstairs without power and then on the return we have been left again before the end, when other travelers if they have been transferred. The road to the 5 lakes is quite dangerous and slippery, we should warn, it is many km bordering a torrent, the lakes are the points where the water is backwater, it is beautiful and also exhausting, more than 10km of travel has marked my clock. The main road to the park is cut at one point by a cave-in, which seems to have been unfixed for years and to access have enabled a path, they can not access cars to the trail area so if there is any accident the quick exit is complicated. All this is not explained. Another thing to improve is that the best views are on the ascent path by motorcycle so you can not enjoy more than a few seconds and instead we have spent more than an hour in a viewpoint from which nothing was seen.

I honestly didn't expect Bach Ma to be this beautiful. The trip started with a scenic drive up the winding roads, and the temperature dropped significantly as we reached the top. We were lucky to have a clear day at Hai Vong Dai, where we could see the entire lagoon and coast – truly a breathtaking panorama. The trek to the Five Lakes (Ngu Ho) was the highlight for me. The water was freezing cold but incredibly refreshing after the hike. Be warned: the path can be slippery and steep, so good hiking shoes are essential. Our guide was fantastic at pacing the group and helping us navigate the tricky rocks. If you love nature and a bit of physical challenge, this is the best day trip from Hue!

I’ve been travelling Vietnam for 2 months and it’s literally one of the best experiences I’ve had so far! Actually it was my first tracking tour ever and it’s definitely gives me only positive vibes! The views are amazing, and i feel really lucky because the group i were in was also so fun to spend time with. The guides are very skilled, they always help you and hold on the tracking spots. Also they’re so interesting to communicate with! It’s definitely one of my best memories it Vietnam, so i hardly recommend to spend a day in the Bach Ma

We travelled from Hoi An to Hue for this activity which made it a very long day indeed. On arrival at the park you are given all you need including waterproof ponchos and snacks and water in a waterproof bag. Then into a minibus and to the top of the mountain which took 30 minutes up some extremely twisty road. At the top we would have had amazing views were it not for the fog, but as it was we felt like we were in the clouds at 1400m high. We saw the remnants of French villas and American military posts while getting a lesson on the history of the place and spotting the local flora and fauna (including some very shy monkeys). Further down we trekked the 5 lakes stopping for lunch in between with the option of taking a dip in one of the pools before coming back to the bus for a trip back down to the entrance. The guides were both enthusiastic and friendly and both drivers very efficient indeed. We saw some beautiful sights and got some good exercise, thoroughly recommended.
