Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park

During this backcountry skiing tour, you start by moving through quiet forest terrain, getting comfortable with the equipment and the snow conditions. Gradually, the landscape opens up as you enter more remote areas of the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park wilderness. As you progress, the terrain becomes more diverse, offering a true backcountry skiing experience through untracked snow, frozen forests, and open sections depending on the conditions of the day. Midway through the tour, we stop in a traditional kota to rest, light a fire, and enjoy a warm drink and lunch in the heart of the forest. We take additional breaks along the way if needed, to enjoy the surroundings and adapt the route to the group and conditions. The way back brings a smooth return through peaceful forest terrain before finishing the tour.
