5.00Jane provided a great introduction to some of the women who helped shape the nation, all while enjoying a leisurely stroll through the parliamentary triangle. Some interesting titbits were dropped, as we passed various buildings, and I'm keen to explore further on other walks.

5.00We had a great time on the Badass Women of Canberra Walking Tour. Our guide, the lovely Eleri was fantastic and the perfect mix of being informative, interesting and also a touch of humour. It never felt like a history "lecture". Our group began the tour with a limited knowledge of Women's contribution to Canberra and by the end of the tour we had a greater appreciation of the role Women played in Shaping Canberra. The stories shared brought a new perspective to people and places we had heard about but had not fully appreciated their contribution to shaping Canberra. She Shapes Hisory was willing to run the tour with a small number of participants. The advantage for us was that it made it easier to ask questions and communicate with each other. I look forward to doing more of their tours and highly recommend this company. I hope they soon expand to Brisbane!
