We are the largest international sports community in Osaka and Kansai. Come meet local Japanese and foreigners living in Osaka; we love to play sports and meet new friends. You can come alone or with friends, we will make you feel welcome!

What To Expect

Enjoy your holiday with a bit of sport and activity with locals. We will play friendly doubles matches for 3 hours, all levels are welcome. Organizers and other players are available to teach you/give tips if need be. Rackets and shuttlecocks are provided but feel free to bring your own. You will be meeting new friends from Japan and many other countries! Please bring comfortable clothes and indoor shoes. Water fountain, locker room and showers are available on-site.

What‘s Included

Badminton rackets and shuttlecocks (plastic Yonex)

You MUST bring indoor sports shoes, unfortunately there are no rentals available.

Feather Shuttles: If you would like to use feathers, please bring your own to use during your own games.

Being able to play volleyball with many people from different countries is really a very special experience! If the level of balls offered is even better, maybe you can have more fun!!

It is a very friendly experience especially for tourist because racquet is provided and I don't need to take my own racquet. People participating are friendly and nice. Organiser George did a good job to arrange this event.

The group was amazing. The female leader was cheerful and very welcoming, didn’t have any struggles with communication many spoke enough to very understandable English. From Canada would recommend to go and visit this very exciting and diverse group.

This was a friendly group of approx 15 people. The badminton was a competitive but fun level. The court was also of a good standard as were the racquets provided.

Awesome time, everyone was super friendly. Was in Osaka on holiday for only 3 days, but managed to join the Badminton in Osaka with Local Players session. Had 3 hours of play, then went to get some food afterwards with some of the other players. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

I had so much fun playing with George and the gang (a couple of Japanese and a bunch of expats). I love badminton and it was so much fun to be able to play while in Japan for my quickie one week vacation!

Good for meeting friends or just to get some good games in. There are all kinds of play levels, but if you're really a beginner I'd suggest bringing a friend of similar ability, as most other players have at least some experience.
