What To Expect

Meet at the Malecón · 15 mins Meet your local guide at the iconic Malecón kiosk in La Paz to get acquainted and start the adventure. Drive to the trail · 30 mins Enjoy a scenic 30-minute drive through desert landscapes toward the trailhead, with your guide pointing out local flora and landmarks. Preparation and briefing · 15 mins Your guide will equip you with a backpack, water bottle, and hat, and provide a short safety and trail briefing before starting the hike. Hike to the viewpoint · 45 mins Begin the gentle ascent along a rocky trail, observing local plants, insects, and birds while learning about the area's ecosystem and history. Enjoy the view! · 30 mins Arrive at the viewpoint overlooking Balandra Bay’s seven beaches, iconic dune, and mangroves. Take time to relax, hydrate, have a light snack, and soak in the scenery. Hike back with the sunset · 30 mins Return along the trail as the sun sets, keeping an eye out for local wildlife and enjoying the changing colors of the desert and bay. Drive back to La Paz · 30 mins Conclude the experience with a scenic drive back to the Malecón, noticing how the landscape transforms under the dusk light.

Awesome experience and arguably the best way to view balandra beach! Alexia is super knowledgeable and passionate about the flora and fauna of this region. Definitely recommend!
Ended 2025 in the glory and silence of a perfect sunset.

Great experience for us! Our guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and patient and had sharp eyes to point out wildlife. She brought plenty of water and healthy snacks and even had binoculars for us to use. Sunset was perfect end to 2025.

What a treat! Alexia is a gem and was such an amazing and knowledgeable guide who is also multi-talented! She went out of her way to entertain, inform, and ensure the hike was enjoyable and safe. The views were insane, HIGHLY recommend!

The best experience in La Paz, BCS! It felt genuinely authentic, surrounded by nature, stunning views, and a really enjoyable hike. Pablo and Alexia were amazing guides, always helpful with tips and information to make the most of the day. I absolutely recommend this tour!

The hike is beautiful. The views are worth all the effort. Alexia and Pablo were very patient all the way, they always waited for us and we went at our pace. They also explained about the flora and fauna and the history of the places. We went with the family and enjoyed it a lot. We thank you for all your attention. I fully recommend it!

Without a doubt this is an experience that must be missed on a trip to La Paz. I really liked that we were loaned a backpack with water bottle, headlamp and hat for hiking, as well as binoculars, was all I needed to enjoy the route. Alexia was our guide, she is super cool and very attentive, she took us to walk different points of the trail where we enjoyed the landscape and the sunset, amazing.

We had a fantastic experience on this tour. The service was exceptional from start to finish, always watching us. The best thing was that they took us to know authentic places, outside the usual tourist routes, which turned out to be amazing sites. A highly recommended excursion for those looking for something different and quality.

It was an amazing experience. Pablo and Alexia are magnificent people, friendly and very aware. Being able to walk with them was more than just walking; it is a super genuine and harmonious connection. They shared material about the local nature, and they were taking photos in HD throughout the tour. The sunset picnic was the cherry on the cake: an incredible sight, with delicious snacks, but above all, conscious, free of single-use plastics, and locally sourced. Highly recommended!
