What To Expect
Embark on a private boat trip with our experienced skippers. Your exclusive adventure begins at the stunning Balos Lagoon. We need 30 minutes to get there. Dive into its crystal-clear waters, snorkel, or relax on the boat and enjoy the magic scenery. You will have the opportunity to go to the beach, since we will come enough close to the shore and drop you off, without needing to swim a lot. Enjoy the lagoon at your own leisure for around two hours. Then, we will travel for 10 minutes to reach picturesque Gramvousa Island. There, we will stay one hour and you will have the chance to hike, explore the fortress, and take some breathtaking panoramic views. While making unforgettable memories, taste some delicious Cretan flavors, that we prepared for you and drink refreshing drinks. Next, we need 15 minutes to visit Agios Sozon, a place where the serene atmosphere captivates us and the wild nature gives peace to the soul. The pristine, crystalline waters make it an ideal location for swimming. We will spend approximately 50 minutes there, reveling in its natural beauty and tranquility. Our wonderful cruise will come to an end with a 15-minute trip back to the place where we started.

5.00Our private boat trip with Chania Sea Experience was the highlight of our week in Crete. From the moment we booked, Konstantinos was incredibly responsive and helped tailor the perfect full-day itinerary for our family, including Balos, Gramvousa, and a secluded swimming spot accessible only by boat. What impressed us most was the attention to detail. One of my children has a life-threatening food allergy, and Konstantinos went out of his way to ensure our barbecue lunch was completely safe. We even enjoyed it in a private shaded area away from the crowds on Gramvousa, which made the experience especially memorable. The captain was equally wonderful. Our children (ages 13 and 9) were initially nervous about being on the boat, but he quickly put them at ease. By the end of the day, my son was confidently taking the wheel under his guidance. Professional, thoughtful, and genuinely customer-focused, the team created an unforgettable day for our family. I wholeheartedly recommend Chania Sea Experience to anyone looking for a truly special day on the water in Crete.

5.00I cannot say enough about how wonderful this experience was. Our skipper, Alex, spoke perfect English and was incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived at Balos beach and gramvousa before the big crowds and that made all the difference. The food and beverages were delicious and the boat was clean and spacious. The perfect day!

5.00We had a wonderful time with our captain Alex he was an amazing boat captain and gave us lots of tips in the area. Highly recommend this for for families. I had my two teenagers and my two parents, the six of us and we all had a fabulous time.

5.00We booked our boat trip weeks in advance, but the night before the trip the boat company contacted us regarding a bad weather forecast. They gave us the choice of postponing, canceling, or trusting them to take us from a different port to different secluded beach locations. We chose the latter, and although we did not see Balos, we had a great experience! We appreciated the flexibility they provided to us, and Alex (our captain) was fantastic!

5.00This was such a lovely experience. From the beginning, the communication between myself and Chania Sea was clear, fast responses and just very straightforward. They even let us know early enough that our trip could be affected by winds. Our trip was relaxing, super fun and we had such a great time with our captain Alex. I’d highly recommend booking with Chania Sea Experience! They did a fantastic job!!

5.0010/10 JUST BOOK!!!! We were staying closer to Chania and so glad we drove down to Kissamos port for this trip. Our skipper got us to Balos lagoon super speedy so we got to see it all before the crowds came him. He was AMAZING with our children (both 5 years old) and we all had the best time. Super helpful when booking as well. GREAT SERVICE all round. Thank you guys x

5.00We took a private boat tour with 4 adults and 4 children and were absolutely delighted! The route took us to Balos and then to Gramvousa – both destinations are fantastically beautiful. On board there were drinks and delicious wraps, all included in the price. Contact with Konstantinos in advance was very friendly and straightforward. On site our skipper Alex welcomed us warmly. He took great care of us, was super nice and made the ride a real experience – we had a lot of fun! Overall, an all-round successful excursion that we can only recommend. Thank you for this unforgettable day!

5.00An Unforgettable Chania Sea Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most amazing time with Chania Sea Experience! Our first trip was a boat ride to Balos, and it was absolutely incredible — stunning scenery, great drinks and food, and the most wonderful guide, Alexis. He was so kind and friendly, making the trip even more special. The kids loved it so much that they insisted we book another adventure just two days later! Our second trip took us to a different set of breathtaking beaches and lagoons near Chania, and it was just as magical. Kostas and Alex were amazing hosts — warm, welcoming, and so accommodating. Both tours were unforgettable, and we can’t recommend Chania Sea Experience enough. If you’re in Crete, don’t miss this!
