We Wake up nice and early (3-4am) to proceed with our long drive to banaue. This is a scenic drive and plenty of things to see along the way. we will be arriving in Banaue Mid day and we will be introducing you to the magnificent views that the Banaue Rice terraces has to offer.

Batad Rice Terraces

We now proceed to one of the famous rice terraces of banaue which is Batad Rice terraces. This amphitheatre rice terraces is voted as a world heritage site by UNESCO and you will see why once you get there. After visiting Batad we will proceed to Tappiya Falls. This waterfall is amazing truly a sight to remember and why not enjoy a swim you’ve earned it.

Day 3

Happao Rice Terraces and Hot spring

Hapao Rice Terraces

We now drive 30 minutes away from Banaue town proper to Happao Rice Terraces. This is probably the biggest rice terraces we will encounter on this trip due to its large area. The journey getting here is Phenomenal! Driving to mountain cliffs which goes up and down whilst enjoying the view of the different rice terraces along the way. The trek here is a bit pleasant and not as extreme as Batad or Tappiya Falls In the afternoon we proceed back to Manila with an estimated 7-10pm arrival

An unforgettable trip with Kenji and Miel, the friendliest and most caring guide and driver there is. The sites offered breathtaking scenery, everything was well organized (transfers, accommodation, local guides,...) leading to a great and hassle-free discovery of Banaue, Batad and Hapao in only 3 days.

The guides assigned to us were great. Do mine took us to Botad and Jimmy took us to Bogyah Hot Springs. We stayed at Japan’ Place at Bro Zone. We arrived early, but were welcomed by the Bustamante Family. We had all of our meals there. Jayson prepared them as requested for a guest with food allergies. The food was great, they made arrangements for a Massage Therapist, helped us deliver and pick up our laundry. If you’re expecting the Ritz, this is not your place. If you want to support the local families, they will welcome you, make sure your comfortable and provide entertainment.

My husband and I did a customized tour of Banaue and Sagada organized by Yolo. Our driver, Pedro, and Yolo guide, Kenji, were attentive to our needs including my husband’s food allergies. Kenji modified our activities to accommodate our request to learn more about the history of these areas by adding visits to museums. Yolo connected us with local guides in Banaue (Jun and Abner), and in Sagada (Rex). The local guides were knowledgeable and made sure we were safe. Yolo also arranged our lodging. The sites we visited were beautiful. Most importantly, we appreciated the hospitality and care we received from the people we met.

An amazing trip to North Luzon with Yolo Travel! We contacted Yolo to arrange a tour of North Luzon’s rice terraces and surrounding area. The remit was broad, only that it was for two people and should be 6/7 days. Paulo at Yolo was amazing. He very quickly proposed an itinerary which covered all the parts we wanted (including some we had never heard of), as well as advising on the best times to visit and what to bring. Our tour covered Banaue and the surrounding areas (Batad, Hapao, Tapiya Falls) before moving on to Sagada (Sumaging and Lumiang Caves, surrounding waterfalls, Blue soil and Hanging Coffins). Yolo arranged all the transport, guides and accommodation, making this a very stress-free trip. We did a private tour for two people, meaning that everything was done at our pace, which was especially appreciated after a few days walking the rice terraces! We had separate guides for Banaue (Abner and Mulin) and Sagada (Rex), all of whom were local and very knowledgeable on the area and local culture and customs, couldn’t recommend them enough. We had amazing time and will definitely be using Yolo again for future trips, thank you!
