Plaza de Toros Monumental de Barcelona
Barcelona’s last bullring, opened in 1914, is a striking mix of Moorish and Byzantine styles. Though no longer in use for bullfighting, its impressive façade still dominates the area.

Amelie gave us an amazing experience. There were 7 of us including a 2 year old, so we had 2 Tuk-Tuks. Amelie and Ina were our guides and they were brilliant - really friendly, informative and excellent at navigating the Barcelona traffic! We chose the 1.5 hour tour which included the beach area - well worth it, great way to see the city

Unique way to get around Barcelona. Our guide was great. I just wish they told us that each Tuk-Tuk only accommodates only 4 people and if you have an extra person, you have to pay for a whole other Tuk tuk so you have to pay for 3 extra persons which is quite unfair because they do not tell you this on the website. I would have opted for a hop on Hop off instead.

The 90 minute tour is basically superb(thanks Amelia). The disappointment came from our tuktuk being involved in a dangerous rear-ended traffic accident, which was solely caused by a likely distracted driver in a car behind us- in the middle of a sunny afternoon. It involved notably more speed and impact than a simple bump. We suffered some degree of whiplash - very sore necks and shoulders- but believe we’ll be ok. We need to wait a few days to be more certain. For some reason no police report was made- we were told it’s not ‘the way’ here, which seems ill-advised. The tuktuk company supervisor (Erika) was gracious when we got back to their garage (again, the collision was not the TT company’s fault) but we have been disappointed by the supervisor dropping the ball on us by failing to contact us to see how we are doing- something she promised she would do on the day after the accident (today). A couple things learned: we heard that auto- tuktuk collisions are not uncommon here. The tuktuks made of heavier metal seem to offer much better protection than the lighter ones made of aluminum. The back seats on the tuktuk we were on did not have headrest protection for whiplash-something the two front passenger seats did have. So of course the worst whiplash was suffered by the back seater. Seatbelts should be worn, for sure. Even the wonderful guide suffered some whiplash. Cannot help but wonder if better warning or presence lights on the back of the tuktuk might help with daytime visibility- so many distracted drivers on the road. The accident happened toward the end of the tour. Up to that point it had been a wonderful experience and we thank Amelia.

The tour guide had excellent Information and was enthusiastic in her presentation. She even included a photo album, showing pictures in her presentation. However, her accent was strong, making her comments spoken in English difficult to understand.
