El Born Centre De Cultura I Memoria
The Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria is a cultural landmark located in the heart of Barcelona’s historic Born district. Housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century iron-and-glass market, it seamlessly blends modern architecture with historical preservation. The highlight is its archaeological site, showcasing the remains of an 18th-century neighborhood destroyed after the War of the Spanish Succession in 1714. Visitors can walk above the ruins of homes, streets, and shops, gaining a glimpse into daily life during this crucial period in Catalan history. In addition to the archaeological remains, the center hosts temporary exhibitions, cultural activities, and historical workshops, focusing on themes like memory, identity, and resistance. Its stunning architecture, with open spaces and a grand iron structure, adds to the experience. —it’s a space to explore the cultural and political evolution of Barcelona, offering an inspiring journey into the city’s past and its enduring spirit.

Rory was an excellent storyteller who really knew the history. He was a nice person to talk to and well rounded. Even though it rained the tour was still so much fun. The tapas and wine were delicious. Embrace what is given to you:()

These were high quality Trex e-mtn.bikes. We had a great time on this tour! Toby and Simon were awesome guides! I found their knowledge of the area quite extensive and very interesting. They can also tailor your ride based on your riding abilities. We had a blast and would do it again! I highly recommend this e-bike tour!

We had an excellent guide name Rory. He handled the entire tour expertly and was very well versed with the history. The bikes were good quality. The wine+tapas happens AFTER the eBike tour, not with. We had this confusion as it wasn't very clear from the tour description so do take note.

We had a great time with Aleix. He gave an interesting and thorough historical perspective to the ride through the old section and the branch area and tied it all together. The tapas was also delicious. Just a great experience.

Aleix was a great guide on a sunny January day in stunning Barcelona! What a fun way to learn about the city’s history, see things you wouldn’t be able to see in a full day on foot, and end with a couple drinks and some Tapas! Amazing day, amazing guide! Good luck with the renovations Aleix ;)

Our guide Rory was a great guy. It was pouring with rain and most would have cancelled but there was only 2 of us booked on the tour and we decided to proceed. Fascinating insight into the city and great e-bikes. We thought there would be more than 1 tapas bar within the tour - that was the only disappointment. Thank you Rory.
