Meet your guide at the Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter to begin this 3-hour culinary walking tour. As you head to your first tapas bar of the day, chat with your local guide about Barcelona's cultural legacy, its gastronomy, and the historical landmarks as you see. Stroll the streets where Antoni Gaudí and Pablo Picasso once walked as you get to know the history and the flavors of the Catalonian capital city.. Jostle for space with locals in some of Barcelona's most vibrant tapas bars and learn about tapas etiquette, like how to order and how to share, from your guide. Sample dishes like Iberian ham, various cheeses from around Spain, pimientos de padrón, the spicy patatas bravas, traditional grilled bread with tomato, fresh octopus, and several other dishes accompanied by fine local wine pairings and the best company. After a sip and a nibble, it's time to move onto the next spot and repeat the delicious process. Visit four of Barcelona's best tapas bars/restaurants in total, then bid your guide farewell at the end of the excursion with a full stomach and a deeper understanding of Catalonian cuisine and culture. Berta was an excellent guide who provided great commentary on the city history and the restaurants visited. Well paced throughout. Food was excellent. Far superior to some food tours undertaken in other cities. Berta was key to this.

Very friendly vibe, guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. When tours with multiple people that are not together, the restaurants should provide serving utensils. Would have been nice if there was a bit more food.

Our guide Miro was such an interesting guy. He gave us a lot of history about the region as well as about the food. He took us to 3 places we would never have tried on our own. The tapas was varied and tasty, the drinks surprising. I’ve fallen in love with vermouth!
