What To Expect
Meet your guide at the Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter to begin this 3-hour culinary walking tour. As you head to your first tapas bar of the day, chat with your local guide about Barcelona's cultural legacy, its gastronomy, and the historical landmarks as you see. Stroll the streets where Antoni Gaudí and Pablo Picasso once walked as you get to know the history and the flavors of the Catalonian capital city.. Jostle for space with locals in some of Barcelona's most vibrant tapas bars and learn about tapas etiquette, like how to order and how to share, from your guide. Sample dishes like Iberian ham, various cheeses from around Spain, pimientos de padrón, the spicy patatas bravas, traditional grilled bread with tomato, fresh octopus, and several other dishes accompanied by fine local wine pairings and the best company. After a sip and a nibble, it's time to move onto the next spot and repeat the delicious process. Visit four of Barcelona's best tapas bars/restaurants in total, then bid your guide farewell at the end of the excursion with a full stomach and a deeper understanding of Catalonian cuisine and culture. Vegetarian options are available, and food allergies and preferences can be accommodated — simply list them in the Special Requirements field when booking. Private tour available. 5.00An amazing tour with Roberto sampling a plethora of delicious tapas and history lesson thrown in. Not used to having so much wine so early in the day, but I’m not complaining. 😂. Definitely a great tour to take early in a visit to Barcelona to get a sense of the history, culture and food of the Catalunya region. Highly recommended!

4.00Viator sent us to the wrong meeting location. We had to call Viator and get the location of the first restaurant to meet the group there. Another couple was also sent to an incorrect location and they never caught up to us. This is no reflection on the guide or the restaurants because they were great. I would recommend booking directly with the Barcelona Local Experiences company.

5.00This walking tour was awesome! We had 4 stops that took us to the coolest spots. Each spot had something to snack on and something to drink, whether it be wine, vermouth or cava. Roberto was a great guide and host. He was very knowledgeable about Barcelona and each spot we stopped at. I would highly recommend this walking tour!
