What To Expect
Just 30 km from San Carlos de Bariloche, La Estancia invites you to live a unique experience in the stunning Patagonian Steppe. Here, you can enjoy riding through uneven and rolling terrain, crossing fords and streams, and marvel at unrivalled panoramic views. This walk is perfect for the whole family; children from the age of 2 can join the adventure. There is no need to have previous experience, our Baquean guides will accompany you at all times and teach you the basics of riding. The activity begins with a transfer from the city of Bariloche. After a scenic 45-minute drive, we arrive at La Fragua, where you will be greeted with a delicious breakfast. During the ride, you will have the opportunity to see the typical fauna of the region in its natural habitat. From shy deer hiding in the bushes to majestic condors, one of the largest flying birds in the world. After two hours of riding, we will delight our palate with an exquisite roast, a culinary experience that perfectly complements this incredible day in Patagonia.

5.00This was a brilliant and comfortable experience that I wouldn't have been without. The secluded landscapes and views were stunning, and the horsemen were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made sure that everyone, regardless of experience level, knew what to do and what not to do to ensure a good experience for visitor and horse alike. The asado lunch was delicious and expertly prepared by the onsite crew, and there was a good mix of nationals and age groups amongst the 20 or so participants – the perfect mix of idyllic countryside experience and social contact, if desired. Highest recommendations and I'd go back if I ever got the chance to!

5.00The staff were professional, friendly, bilingual and respectful. The horses were very well trained and sweet natured. The scenery is very beautiful and the food was also plentiful and very delicious.
