Piazza dell'Odegitria

Our tour starts from Piazza dell'Odegitria, inside Bari Vecchia, the city's historic centre. Your local expert will be waiting for you at the palms near the Cathedral's front door. Let's the tour begin!

Cattedrale di San Sabino

On the way to the first stop on the tour, we pass the Cathedral of San Sabino. At the first stop, we will taste the typical Bari focaccia in one of the oldest bakeries in town. Focaccia barese is a delicious mixture of ground semolina, boiled potatoes, salt, yeast and water. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside! Before baking it is covered with tomatoes and olives.

Our experience with Giuseppe was fantastic! He was very informative with the history of Bari. He took us to wonderful spots to eat, and helped us snap a few pics along the way, and we didn't feel rushed at all. I would highly suggest this tour!

Giuseppe was a great tour guide and the food was amazing!! We toured the older section of Bari and wander thru the shops and ate way too much!

This was a lovely food tour. Our guide, Alessia, did a spectacular job blending the history of Bari with the tasting of local dishes. The portions were large, so come hungry! This was a great way to see the city and try some food at the same time!
