4.00We had a great time on this tour. The audio in combination with an ipad video worked well. The tour provided a great overview of Basel. However, it would have been better if the tour had pointed out major tourist attractions, so that we would know where to visit on the coming days of our stay here. The audio mostly concentrated on history and commerce. We got the feeling that the audio only mentioned places that may have sponsored the tour. Otherwise it was great.

2.00Each seat had a monitor and a headset to hear facts about different parts of town. All automated, no interaction w driver. Some devices didn’t work. Hard to tell what building or site we were supposed to looking at. Too much of history lesson. I would hope there is a better tour available

1.00Went to the fountain where it says to meet up. Sat on a bench that had a sign above it saying “City Tour”. A lady came to us to see if we were her English speaking guests, AND we showed her our mobile tickets. When it was time to leave we found out this was a walking tour. We had MISSED ours. Went to the address ALSO on the information section…..it’s a building where you can buy the tickets. We were told the ACTUAL meeting place was across the street from Tinguely Fountain.

5.00Great guided city tour with a super set up bus (each passenger had a pad with info), interesting stops and info. The pity was that the driver could hardly speak German. The departure point near the center is perfect. Value for money top.

1.00Very poor tour. Way too much down time on recorded narrative. Could have told so much more on sights we were passing in the city. Driver was terrible. She just went through the motions of driving. Didn’t tell us how to connect our iPads. We’ve never used them before. No expression on her face. She certainly didn’t to be there. No interaction. Made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Not a way to welcome visitors to Basel. Total waste of our time and money.

2.00The driver didn’t speak English. Also there was no guidance on how to use the tablet that provided the pictures and narrative for the tour. At first the video just ran and jumped around about thing that had nothing to do with where we were and the audio quality was rather poor. Also, this was advertised as a hop-on hop-off tour, it was anything but.
