our party of 3 had a great tour with Miller and his wife Bridgette. we had a fast tracked trip so we were only able to do a day tour with them, which they were very flexible on. Bridgette did most of the guiding for us, where Miller arranged transport for us on his trike and his cousin’s (extra fee, which we expected). we got to see several rice terraces beyond Banaue and Batad, including one that was still green late into the harvest season. it was great having Bridgette walk us down to the terraces and to her family’s home in the village (pictured) and to explain lots of interesting facts and details about the history and ecology of the area in English (only one in our party spoke fluent Tagalog). overall, would highly recommend as some other guides in Banaue aren’t from Batad proper, so we felt it was very authentic. when a flash rainstorm came up on us at the end of the day, they even bought us slippers and clean socks from the market so we wouldn’t freeze on the long bus ride back to QC at the end of the day. much appreciated!

We have been traveling Southeast Asia for 4 months, and out of all our tour guides, Bridget and Miller are the best! Highlights: • Professional, communicative, flexible, always prepared • Prioritized safety and convenience • Competitive pricing • Simply put, some of the most kind and generous people we’ve ever met! + Preparation: Only hours after I booked, Miller contacted me to confirm logistics, including flexibility with what time to begin the tour. He also offered to pick us from the bus station, drop us off at our hotel, and start the tour as soon as we were ready. Miller introduced me to Bridget, who took me on the tour herself. She was even prepared with umbrellas in case you don’t bring your own. + Communication: They were very communicative and quick to respond to messages from the very start. Our guides spoke in Tagalog/Filipino, English, and other languages. Before starting the tour, they walked us through a map of our destinations and were clear about how much time it would take to get between places, what time we could stop to eat, how flat/steep the terrain would be, and other safety info. + Transportation: We were given the option to ride a tricycle or large van to get from the hotel to our destinations. If you’re short like me and there’s only one or two of you, tricycle should be fine. If there’s even one tall person in your group, it would be worth paying extra for the more comfortable, air-conditioned van. + Professional: Always ready on time, often even early so that you can maximize your time on the tour. Knowledgeable about the history and culture of both the local and surrounding areas. If you need any recommendations for places, services, prices, and referrals, they have a good professional network they can share with you. + Budget: Their prices are very competitive compared to other local tours. Bring extra cash for the tourist registrations, meals, and souvenirs.

Very attentive and engaging tour - and to top it off - shucking rice at the end was a special treat... Great mix of history and real life...

The Banaue and Batad rice terraces were a truely unique site to see, carved right out of the jungle in the Ifeugo mountains. Our guide Miller was exceptional, he elevated the experience from just seeing the sights to a truely cultural emersion. He told many stories of the area and the people who's ancestors built the terraces thousands if years ago, he told the story of rice... from getting the terrace ready to planting to harvesting to processing to eating. He encouraged and answered our many questions. I really appreciated the care, encouragement, kindness and patience he gave to my son age 9. I cannot thank Miller enough for such an incredible experience.

Miller was an amazing tour guide for our three day trek. He was so flexible to our needs - changing routes and our daily schedule based on how we felt each day. He always made sure we were safe, comfortable, and having fun. He knew so many people throughout the villages, which meant we also got to meet lots of cool people. My friend and I had so many questions for him about local tradition and culture and Miller shared so many insightful things with us. Miller even went the extra mile to organize that a cake be brought in from Banaue - a 2 hour hike from where we were at the time - and worked at night to make a traditional Filipino dessert to surprise my friend on her birthday. Our trek with Miller was one of our highlights from our trip and we highly recommend you take a trek with him!!!!!!! It was so beautiful.
