The fishing on the bay is an exciting chance to reel in Sheepshead, Black Drum, Sandtrout, Whiting, and many others, including SHARK! Bay fishing trips primarily target tasty sand trout and whiting, but customers will also have opportunities to catch red drum and black drum. Customers can also bring their own gear if they desire, but Captain Murphy’s will not be responsible for it.
All persons fishing, ages 17 and older are required to have a valid Texas Saltwater Fishing License. You can easily purchase a fishing license online by going to Texas Parks and Wildlife website and Fishing License

5.00Took the 8am bay fishing trip. Boat was very nice, clean and comfortable. The captain did a great job getting us on fish while the deckhand was very helpful getting everyone set up and keeping everyone’s lines in the water. Excellent experience and will do it again next time I am on the island!

5.00Well, we went out right on schedule! (I really dig that). Got out to the spot, baited up, hooks in the water, and BAM! Within 5-7 minutes we were pulling in fish (sand trout). Now I realize that's not the case for everyone, but it really worked out for me and my boy. We caught 15 or 16 between the two of us (12 keepers, 1 bait fish, and 3 stingrays) and I saw lots of other stringers on the boat that looked pretty good. They even fileted them out for us at the end (for a lfew extra bucks)! The crew was awesome to work with! They helped with getting the fish off, stringing them up, keeping bait available, and generally just pleasant guys to be around! Oh, and they were playing music over the boat speakers which was really awesome! It felt like a little fishing party! I recommend this for any casual family fishing trip. I saw lots of family's on board, but for me and my boy, it was just what we needed to bring us closer.

1.00Oprator just canceled the tour without any justification, we were at the dock and nobody was there a maintenance guy was so kind to call someone who just informed the tour was canceled, she offered to change the departure time for a later choice but as the first time it was cancelled too.

4.00Dock not too far from all the fishings spots....shallow fishing but did end up a decent string of trout.....Crew was very quick im taking off fish and answering any questions.

5.00The trip was lots of fun. We went on the 6pm charter so the weather was cooler. Once it got darker it felt like the fish were biting non stop. The crew were fast and attentive at getting our fish of the line and strung so we could continue fishing
