We loved our tour with Maider. Maider is personable, interesting and kind. Her tour was well organized and she gave us individual attention answering all our questions. It was time well spent. She made the city and region come alive. She showed us many great locations. We were able to sample chocolate and meet other artisans to return to later in our trip. We would highly recommend.

The tour was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, organized, friendly, and her English was quite good I learned so much more about the city than I ever would have on my own. Learned about big Bayonne and little Bayonne. Learned about the history of different people that inhabited the area, including the Romans and the current work that the government has done to bring in the artist to the community. In short, I highly recommend!

Our tour guide Maite was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable and customised the tour to our interests. It was just me and my travel companion so we lucked out with a ‘private’ tour! Bayonne is a beautiful city and the Basque history is very interesting. Maite took us to her favourite chocolate shop to sample some dark chocolate seasoned with the local esplette pepper - delicious! Overall, we felt the experience was very rewarding and enriched our appreciation for the unique Basque culture and history. An easy and worthwhile trip from nearby Biarritz where we were staying.
