My wife and I recently cruised the British Isles with hopes of making our Liverpool stop a window onto the Beatles early history. We selected a private tour with Guide Guys in Liverpool and had Jack R. as our all-day adventure guide in the city. Impressed by other visitors' reviews of his work, we were confident he would be the right choice. By the end of the day, we celebrated a submersion into the Beatles' early history that exceeded our already high expectations. Not only did he give us in-depth, nuanced insights into the standard stops covered by larger bus tours, he took us deeper into the history at every turn and constantly gave us options as to what we could do. His passion for the group and the music was obvious and so was his commitment to making this the special day we wanted. From their out-of-the-way haunts, to the places where they met and composed their early works, to an amazing time at the Cavern Club and a trip down Penny Lane to the "real" Penny Lane sign, Jack delivered everything a private should be. Thanks to his extra efforts, our lunch at the Philharmonic where Paul McCartney delivered a surprise mini concert a few years ago was a fitting climax to a day filled with surprises. Most importantly, we had a chance to see and feel the city of Liverpool as it was when the group was still a local bar band looking for the big break. For my wife and I, Jack's "magical tour," replaced our sense of mystery about a city we had never visited with a new and welcome familiarity that will forever change the way we listen to the musical legacy of the greatest rock 'n roll band of all time. We could not have asked for more.

Ended up booking with them because my first tour cancelled my booking. All I can say is “Great tour!” Marc was extremely communicative leading up to the start and very knowledgeable throughout. A wealth of information about the Beatles as well as Liverpool. Bonus: he’s a great looking guy so my mother was smitten.

I highly recommend booking Marc if you want a personalised, informative and very interesting tour of Liverpool, covering so much more than the regular tour buses. The time just flew by, but we were treated to a far more comprehensive Liverpool experience than we had expected. His vehicle was comfortable, very clean, and he really was the perfect driver.
