Our tour guide Peter was wonderful! He knew so much about the Lakes District and Beatrix Potter and could answer all our questions, The ferry ride on Lake Windermere is pleasant and the scenery in and around Hilltop and Hawkeshead is just beautiful. The visit to Beatrix Potters Hilltop Farm is the jewel in the crown bringing all her characters to life when you see what inspired her. The visit to the cottage did not disappoint. I highly recommend this tour especially if you love Beatrix Potter. The scenery alone is just beautiful! A lively stop over in Hawkeshead I was also a delight. Thank you to Peter and the tour company for a pleasant day out. Bucket list “tick”.

Everything was fine until we found out that we would not be visiting Hill Top because our tour was on a Friday and the house is not opened for tours Friday only on School holidays what you gave in return was a terrible exhibit of a knock-off Disney display. It was horrible!! No comment about this ahead of time! Visitors booking tours need to know this. Not to have a one line comment after people book the tour tickets. SHAME ON YOU

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the most wonderful Beatrix Potter Tour with Tim! From start to finish, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the Lake District and Beatrix Potter’s world. His commentary brought each place to life — from the charming villages to the beautiful landscapes that inspired her stories. Tim made sure everyone felt comfortable and never rushed, and he added so many personal touches and insights that made the day feel extra special. The lake cruise was stunning and such a peaceful way to take in the scenery. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip — thank you, Tim, for a magical and memorable day in the Lakes! 🌿🐇✨

We had the best time! The cruise on Windermere was beautiful. We went in October, so it was chilly but fun. The tour of the house and surrounding area was amazing. I loved that you could tour the home and spend some time in each room. Mr. McGregor's garden was big and so beautiful.

It was a really excellent trip – even given the inclement weather. Tim, the guide, is clearly passionate about the Lake District, and made the trip both informative and fun. The trip on the lake was on a lovely old boat, and the visit to Beatrix Potter's house at Sawrey was a treat. It's not just the dry museum info that's a pleasure – there;'s something joyful in the guides being able to point out that the rhubarb path was where Jemima Puddleduck laid her eggs! And my day was totally made when Tim got us to Tarn Hows, one of my favourite parts of the Lake District – and told us that it had been saved from development by Potter, along with all the other land that she bought and then left to the National Trust.

Our driver and guide Tim was punctual, helpful and a font of information. This tour took us to some stunning landscapes around Lake Windermere with the highlight being the Beatrix Potter house and gardens. Looking forward to another tour with Mountain Goat Tours tomorrow 👍🏽
