Our trip out to see the honey bees at work and taste the different honeys was an education and a treat. Our guide Sophia,an experienced beekeeper herself, made everything relaxed and fun. Then a walk in the old town part of Nafplio, stopping at various establishments to taste food was like spending an hour strolling in interesting streets and parks, with an old friend. Fabulous experience. Should also mention the driver Costas - friendly, helpful and a pleasurable safe drive.

This tour is an absolute must if you are in/near Nafplio — especially if you are lucky enough to have Sophia as your tour guide and Kostas as your driver! They were THE best!!! The apiary is a stunning facility and the owner and his cousin who run it were a true delight! They were not only lovely but so informative. After donning beekeeper suits, we joined the owner at the hive to get a close up look at the Queen Bee and her minions of workers. We were even lucky enough to see a bee being born! Sophia, who herself is a beekeeper, was gracious enough to take many pictures of us (even without us having to ask) as well as generously share her knowledge of bees. Afterwards the honey tasting was amazing and the museum was beautiful. Thankfully their delicious products were not only available for sale but they were able to ship them to us back in the U.S. so we didn’t have to worry about packing them in our suitcases. Also wanted to take this opportunity to applaud Kostas who made sure we had plenty of water in his lovely car, WiFi access and took the scenic route back to our hotel affording us gorgeous views! All in all, one of the best tours we’ve had to date in Greece!

Excellent tour giving the opportunity to see bee keeping in action, taste many types of honey (from Chestnut to Heather) and try out other products such as propolis, pollen and bees wax skin creams. There is also a museum covering the history of beekeeping, back to neolithic times.

We loved this experience so much!!! We had a private tour which included seeing (and holding!) a beehive, we learned about the life of the bee and the history of beehive from ancient times to today, and then there was a fantastic honey tasting! This family has a true passion for beekeeping, and you can feel it when they talk about their work, it is so inspiring! Do this experience either if you are travelling as couples, friends or family, it will definitely be one of the highlights of your trip! Last but not least, the honey is delicious and organic, and we bought so much for home!!!!
