Beer baths are a medical procedure from the Middle Ages, known to cleanse the pores, increase pulmonary circulation, regenerate skin and hair, and revitalize the nervous system. It is necessary to maintain the correct temperature, length, and ratio of ingredients to ensure maximum health benefits.
The bathing experience takes place in special tubs and is regulated by professional staff. The experience lasts about an hour — opting for the beer massage of 20 minutes adds an extra time. At the end of your rejuvenating visit, you will receive a bottle of Bernard Beer with a historical seal and a certificate of completion.

5.00Beer Spa Bernard Location Visited: Týn 10, 110 00 Praha 1 (Hotel Metamorphis location) Date/Time: 7 February, 10:30 AM Experience Overall, this was absolutely worth it. Yes, it is a bit touristy, but we would do it 12/10 times again. The entire experience was relaxing, unique, and surprisingly well organized. Our host was wonderful, attentive without hovering, and made everything feel easy and comfortable. We felt silky smooth for hours afterward. When you enter Hotel Metamorphis, immediately turn left and head down the stairs. The hotel desk staff clearly answer that question all day long. You are not bathing in brewed beer. It is normal warm water infused with hops and yeast elements. The host lets you see and smell the mixture before adding it to the tub. The water starts at 32°C, and you can adjust the temperature with hot and cold taps once inside. There is an unlimited beer tap directly next to the tub, so you never have to get out. A bell is provided if you need anything at all. Admission Fee We paid 4,990 CZK for two people, which included: * A private room with one bath * Unlimited beer * A 20-minute massage each For a two-hour private spa experience in central Prague, we felt the value was fair, especially given the privacy and included massage. Plus you receive a certificate and a couple of free Bernard Beers as parting gifts. Length of Visit We were there for approximately 2 hours, which felt perfect. Any longer might have been too much, especially given how relaxed we were afterward. Full transparency: we went at 10:30 AM and were so relaxed afterward that we barely wanted to do anything else for the rest of the day. Atmosphere Very clean and professional. The facility looked well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. They provide clothing and slippers and recommend not wearing a bathing suit for hygiene reasons, which we completely agreed with. There is a large locker room with lockable storage, a shower, and a blow dryer available. Our host recommended not showering for six hours to maximize the skin benefits of the bath. This specific location only has two tubs total, meaning a maximum of four guests at a time. We were booked in a way that gave us full privacy before the next guests arrived, which elevated the experience significantly. Crowd Size Intimate and controlled. With only two tubs at this site, it never feels crowded. We essentially had the entire space to ourselves during our session. Staff Outstanding. Friendly, clear with instructions, and very accommodating. The host explained everything thoroughly and checked in at appropriate times without interrupting the experience. Best For * Couples looking for a unique experience * A relaxing reset day * First-time visitors wanting something memorable * Anyone who enjoys beer and spa experiences combined If you are heading back to Prague, this is absolutely worth repeating. Tourist attraction or not, we will be booking it again next time.

5.00We booked this for our first full day in Prague & it was the perfect way to relax. It was very clean. We had 20minute massages after our soak, should have gone for one hour massages instead. Our bathing suits still smelled like beer when we got home!

4.00Very cool and unique experience. Nothing that would keep me from recommending this. However a few things I’d like to point out due to the price. 1) the service is okay, staff members don’t seem very into the experience and can be quick to assume things. 2) it took over 10 minutes for the bubbles to be turned back on in our tub despite running the bell several times. 3) it took several minutes to be let into the beer spa despite ringing the bell several times All in all it was a cool experience and I would recommend to anyone visiting Prague. There are four locations as had been made very clear by the tour operator as well as the desk agent who had assumed we were not at the correct location. I needed to show him my confirmation email.

5.00The spa was so much better than I had imagined it would be. We had 2 totally private rooms. One with a sauna, large jacuzzi, shower and wooden loungers and the other had a sauna, double bed and the beer spa/jacuzzi. I just wish we could have had longer in there! Would definitely do this again

5.00This was a fun experience! Its pretty run of the mill as spas go, but where else can you soak in hops in a hot tub and drink unlimited beer? I would highly recommend this to recover from an all day walking tour. Its a unique experience and very relaxing.
