Kayak through different eco systems from the forest of reeds in the lagoon to the sand spits, bush and farm land of the Bega River and finish where the River meets the sea. We’ll be going at a pace to suit the group’s experience level and have time to really enjoy the natural habitat with guests often spotting egrets fishing by the shallow waters, azure kingfishers perched on the ends of branches and possibly white bellied sea eagles flying above. There really is so much to see and experience along this beautiful lagoon and river system. Part way along we’ll land ashore to stretch our legs, enjoy a lovely morning tea and perhaps even a swim.

Just brilliant and highly recommend. Our guide David was hugely knowledgeable, friendly and tailored the trip to our needs. We loved it!

We had a fantastic kayak trip with David along the Bega River. Our kids were very keen to spot an Azure Kingfisher and they were super excited to see two before we had even left the lagoon! David was such a great guide - so knowledgable and really great at engaging our kids. We had a wonderful morning and would love to come back and see more of this beautiful area with Navigate Expeditions. Jess was so helpful and responsive helping us to plan our tour and the chocolate slice for morning tea got a five star review from all of us! Thank you so much!

I highly recommend this kayaking tour! My family did it with another family (with children the same age - late primary and early high school age). It was absolutely fantastic! Our guides (David and Kerrie) were great. They extremely helpful and knowledgeable and took everything at the pace our group needed. We have done the Pambula river kayak tour previously, which was lovely, but this one was even better. The paddle itself was easier, around little islands and through lagoons, and we saw lots of fabulous birds and even a water dragon! At the morning tea spot we all had a river swim which was relaxing and fun for everyone. The morning tea was delicious too! A big thanks too to Jess who organized everything for us and gave us extra tips on local walks.

We took a kayak tour on the Pambula River with our guide, Melinda. She was knowledgeable about the oyster industry that is common along the river and spent time pointing out evidence of First Nations' use of the river, as well as spotting a sea eagle nest for us. The morning tea provided was spectacularly delicious!
