This tour is a very good introduction to Chinese culture. Travelers should know to be early for pick up from their hotel otherwise the day becomes very long. There is plenty of walking, so a degree of fitness is required. Our guide, Jenny, was informative, helpful and delightful. We had a perfect day- clear and sunny. Which was great for photos. The scale of the Forbidden city is extraordinary. All the buildings we saw were quite beautiful and well preserved in their colours. You need your passport as you pass many security checkpoints for the sites visited. Bags are best left at your hotel, but can be safely left on the bus during each site. We also visited the Beijing Silk museum and a tea house. Purchases can be made here, so perhaps leave room in your luggage before leaving your country of origin! Our Chinese lunch was delicious.

The full day tour was feature packed. Spent close to 11 kms walking. Lots to see and when you have a well informed and an amazing tour guide along with you (Jenny), she makes it all easy. She was an experienced tour guide who planned the day perfectly for ur. The tour started at Tiananmen square then onwards to The forbidden City. Then Jenny arranged us for Halal lunch as we were a group of Muslim travellers and she chose a Muslim restaurant just for us and the food was laid out for us as we entered the restaurant, very classy. We then covered the temple of heaven. Also the other stops we did were the silk museum and the Traditional Chinese medicine clinic where we got a free foot massage. Optionally Jenny offered to take us to the summer palace and she helped us get the tickets and we got to see the most amazing sunset at the summer palace. From dawn to dusk, the day was perfect, thanks to jenny's immaculate planning and guidance. Thanks Jenny.

We spent the day with tour guide Murphy seeing the must see sights of Beijing, Murphy was a brilliant guide gave good knowledgable talks without too much information and helped a lot with photos. Murphy made sure to include everyone and took us to an incredible place for lunch which all 9 of the tour guests really enjoyed, there was something for everyone even fussy eaters.

I visited Beijing with our guide, Lee, and we toured several major sites. The guide was professional, everything was well organized, and the information he shared was clear and meaningful — never overwhelming. He added humor and showed great patience throughout the day. I highly recommend touring with Lee!

Lee was a great guide very knowledgeable about the history of Beijing and it's famous landmarks. Lee even help navigate the group the crowds so we could spend more time viewing the landmarks instead of waiting in long lines. Although I do to a long tiring day I couldn't finish the last site on the tour; Lee arranged for I to make it back to my hotel safely. Thanks for a memorable Hangtang International and especially Lee a.k.a Bruce Lee

Murphy did an outstanding job of tailoring the tour details and schedule. He was very knowledgeable about the sites and history, and answered many questions while throwing in some humor in an engaging way. By a group vote we even skipped one of the stops to spend more time at a site that everyone wanted to see. I feel assured to send anyone unfamiliar with Beijing or China for that matter in the safe hands of Murphy.
