The forbidden city is definitely worthwhile. We managed to make our own way by metro but that was a bit of a challenge because of language difficulties and Tianmen Square requires a separate ticket. In hindsight, I would book the guided tour with T. Square and the forbidden city.

Fully recommended! Kudos to our tourist guide Marco! The full program is well organised and we managed to cover more than what we were expecting. Marco shared lots of interesting insights, his English was clear and the tour itself was dynamic, quite interactive with the group. We had short breaks in between, very helpful when going with kids. We can’t be more thankful of the great recommendation from Marco for the best Beijing duck we have tried during our trip.
