Tickets to the Forbidden City require a real-name reservation 7 days in advance and are easily sold out, so you are advised to book the tour as early as possible. Otherwise, international travelers will need to line up at the entrance to buy tickets.
We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing, beyond which there will be an extra charge, so we suggest you book centrally located downtown hotels. Please get ready at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance of the pick-up time confirmed with you a day before. No-show is non-refundable.
Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name tickets. Make sure to carry the same identification when travelling; otherwise, you’ll be refused entry by the scenic areas.
Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people but we’ll make proper arrangements.
Departures are guaranteed with two persons from Mar to Nov and three persons from Dec to Feb.
Since the Forbidden City is closed on Mondays, we’ll arrange Summer Palace instead of Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City.
Visitors from China Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan must book at least 7 days in advance, and the name to reserve their tickets online should be in Chinese characters.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

In the morning, your guide will wait for you at your hotel lobby, and escort you on a comfortable ride to Tiananmen Square.
Tiananmen Square
Let’s stroll around the large urban square and shoot photos of the brilliant landmarks here. Note: To pass through the security check quickly, especially during holidays, we suggest you leave your bag in the car and carry only your passport and bottled water to go through the no-bag passage.

4.00The tour was really enjoyable, though it was super crowded because of the holiday. Even with the huge lines, we still managed to see all the monuments. Our guide was great—he spoke perfect, very clear English. We had to keep rushing to stay on schedule, so there was no time to stop for anything. He also tried to persuade us to skip the slide and take the big cable car instead, but I insisted—and in the end, he let us go!

4.00Rocky was a great tour guide. Really friendly and helpful. Took pictures for us at key spots. Tour is jam packed but great if you are short on time. Tea ceremony was a lovely experience. My negatives was the communication with tour company. I had 4 different messages from 4 different people. I just wanted to change my tour to another day, which it allowed me to do on Viator but then the company said they bought tickets for the forbidden palace already so we couldn't change our tour date. We had to cancel our new plans and ended up losing money to attend original date. Other negative was the food. It was poor quality. They labelled something as vegetable spring rolls but it was sweet bean filling. It was basically westernised chinese food but it wasn't good. Also eat breakfast before the tour, no food stops until lunch. Tour is good, but maybe buy or bring your own food and dont change your tour date. Totally recommend the tour guide Rocky!

5.00We had a wonderful day with Rocky on this tour. He had a wealth of knowledge and taught us about Chinese history in a way that was fun and engaging. There is no way we could have done all the sights on this tour without a tour guide, and I am so glad we got Rocky to take us to all the sights. He also took a bunch of photos of the group and shared them with us after!

5.00Absolutely fantastic experience with Rocky! Nothing was too much trouble and took a lot of time explaining and offering that personal insight and information. Great sense of humour and could definitely work the room ( or minivan). The ‘eel’ trick worked in our favour at the Great Wall and we managed to cable car up and toboggan slide down! Would definitely recommend this tour as we have learnt so much that we just wouldn’t have known or thought about without Rocky’s insight! A small group with the personal touch with a very knowledgeable guide! Thanks Rocky!

5.00Rocky is THE MAN. Best tour guide I have ever had! Highly recommend this tour. It is definitely an all day event so make sure to eat breakfast/coffee before pick up time!! Bring a jacket for cooler months as it can get a bit windy and chilly!
