Tickets to the Forbidden City require a real-name reservation 7 days in advance and are easily sold out, so you are advised to book the tour as early as possible. Otherwise, international travelers will need to line up at the entrance to buy tickets.
We offer free pick-up within the Third Ring Road of Beijing, beyond which there will be an extra charge, so we suggest you book centrally located downtown hotels. Please get ready at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance of the pick-up time confirmed with you a day before. No-show is non-refundable.
Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name tickets. Make sure to carry the same identification when travelling; otherwise, you’ll be refused entry by the scenic areas.
Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people but we’ll make proper arrangements.
Departures are guaranteed with two persons from Mar to Nov and three persons from Dec to Feb.
Since the Forbidden City is closed on Mondays, we’ll arrange Summer Palace instead of Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City.
Visitors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan must book at least 7 days in advance, and the name to reserve their tickets online should be in Chinese characters.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Beijing
In the morning, your guide will wait for you at your hotel lobby, and escort you on a comfortable ride to Tiananmen Square.
Tiananmen Square
Let’s stroll around the large urban square and shoot photos of the brilliant landmarks here. Note: To pass through the security check quickly, especially during holidays, we suggest you leave your bag in the car and carry only your passport and bottled water to go through the no-bag passage.

5.00Serena was our full day guide in Beijing and she did an excellent job! We hired her for a private tour for just my husband and myself. She was relaxed and conversational with perfect English, and able to understand what we wanted to do perfectly. She took us through the Forbidden City, Tianamen Square, and the main archeological museum with care, always planning ahead to avoid lengthy checkpoints by ensuring that we had the required documents and lack of baggage, and even guiding us through small hurdles like Chinese bathroom selection, where she helped by carrying and offering clean paper. She was informative but not overwhelming, giving us useful historical information, and help with pictures. She guided us seamlessly through crowds, and landed us for a nicely-timed break in a charming courtyard cafe just when we couln't go further without sustenance. We really enjoyed Serena, who is a thoughtful and sweet individual who is the kind of person whom everyone likes since she is so easy to get along wth! We used two guides over our stay in China, and both times we saved hours thanks to their knowledge, had an enjoyable time, did additional things that we couldn't have known about, and learned more about China than we would have. If you're debating as we were, go ahead and hire a private guide. It isn't that costly, and this way you can go wherever you want, and enjoy the places you go!! Serena was so experienced, and had led every sized group over the years, but she enjoyed our smaller venue, and rewarded us with stories and more, which was nice too!

5.00We had a great time with Rocky, he was very insightful and kept us entertained with fun facts for the whole trip. He also took great photos of us both individually and as a group. We loved the great wall it was beautiful and we got the chance to use the slide down.

His explanations were fun, engaging, and very easy to follow, and he speaks excellent English which made everything even more interesting and accessible. On top he does amazing photos!! 10/10 In the morning, we visited Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, and in the afternoon we went to the Great Wall — which was definitely the highlight of the day.
