Thanks so much to Alice (out guide) and Mr. Zhang (our drive) for the amazing tour the National Museum and Ming Tumbs. They arrived perfectly in time at the hotel and took us directly to the Museum. Alice not only showed us masterpieces, and teached us about the history of China, its flags along the time, you also took me to some particular ones, I have interest. Later we have a great chinese lunch with duck, tea, rice, noodles, pork, breathtaking! Finally, we visited the Ming tombs, nice place, peacefully and fresh. The y also gifted us souvenir! Thanks for the unforgetable day!

We love museums and the National Museum is wonderful. We were only able to rush through one floor of the gorgeous building in the 4 hours we had for this part of the tour. The Ming tombs are interesting as an historical site, but there was little to see. We thought we might be able to see artifacts or visit inside, but it was all outside walking to/around the site. So, our primary takeaway - if you like museums, you can easily spend a whole day at the National Museum. Our guide Diana was wonderful. Her cheerful and attentive attitude made the whole day enjoyable. She was a great guide and really knew her way around the museum and sites.
