Sandra was the best! Very friendly and warm, she met us on time and we were off. Saw many reviews saying the tour was overpriced because the tickets prices aren’t high if you were to go yourself, I DO NOT AGREE. The locations are overwhelming and the signs can be a bit confusing. This tour was worth every penny. Once you are there you have no idea where to start or even what you’re looking at you’ll spend so much time researching things to try and do it yourself you’re better off just booking this tour. The forbidden city especially is MASSIVE and there were so many exhibitions that I would think were such if not for Sandra. They don’t have any signs just open door would never think to walk in there on my own. The subway option was great as well and another way to experience the city. Very clean and efficient. Overall the best tour!

Lucy was an excellent guide, she made the tour enjoyable even for my elderly mother. She found it no problem to walk around in the city. It was a great private tour, no rush and just us.

Our guide Huang was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. However his ticket did not work at the gate of the forbidden city so we ended up doing the most important part of our tour without a private guide, which was the reason why we purchased the tour.

My tour guide was Ms Lucy Yue (岳文华). She was very friendly and informative. During the experience, she was very sincere in ensuring that our needs were cared for and made adjustments to the route when necessary. As we were travelling with two elderly individuals who struggled to walk the long distance, Ms Lucy went the extra mile to ensure that they were comfortable and that there were resting areas for them. Ms Lucy also provided very interesting tidbits of information about Chinese architectures mythology and history, giving us a snippet into China’s rich heritage. In totality, I would recommend this tour to people who do not want to undertake the stress of finding your way and booking tickets. As English speakers, we couldn’t have found our way around by ourselves or understand any of the heritage and history of the place without our helpful tourguide .
