We could not have been happier with our tour! We were nervous about a 17 hour day trip from Beijing to Xi’An but Cathy and Serena were amazing! Cathy communicated so well! She sent incredible directions to get from car to train to car and back. And she also checked in on us via WhatsAp along the way. Serena was our tour guide once we arrived in Xi’An. Her knowledge about the Terracotta Warriors was exceptional! And she was so kind and friendly! She made the whole day great! I would highly recommend this tour!

  • Great Day trip!

Had an excellent time going from Beijing to Xi’an to see the terracotta warriors. Serena was a great guide and sorted everything for us, super knowledgeable and friendly. Took us to a great Biang Biang noodles place for lunch, and then answered every question we had while taking us around the sites, would definitely recommend!

Thank you so much from a middle aged, female solo traveler. The whole experience from the transfer to the train station in Beijing, bullet train, transfer to the Terracotta army complex, food and personal guide (Serena) was superb. I was given breakfast by my driver in Beijing which I did not expect but it was greatly received. It was an early start but the day ran seamlessly. Serena was a friendly and informative guide who educated me about the first Emperor and the Terracotta Army. I could not have asked for a better guide. I wholeheartedly recommend this trip to anyone. It was value for money and was well organised.

Very bad service from Meto Tours. The guide was rude, food was terrible, and hotels were dirty. We were promised sightseeing, but half the places were skipped. Felt scammed! Please think twice before booking. Worst travel experience I’ve ever had.

We booked this tour on viator, and our contact person was Cathy who was very helpful getting us on the correct train to Xian for our tour. She keep us updated and made sure we got to the right place. Once there we met Irene who was our tour guide. Irene took us to the museum and explained the history of the Terracotta Army and made sure we saw and understood all the high the important and best part of the museum, she was friendly and informative. I highly recommend this tour with Cathy planning and Irene as our guide. They made us feel like family.

My daughter and I are visiting Beijing and always dreamed of visiting Xi’an to see the Terra cotta warriors. We only had one day but knew that it would be too complicated for us to plan ourselves with such limited time. Fortunately, we found Cathy and she planned the most fabulous day for us and made it possible for us to realize our dream! A driver picked us up from our hotel early in the morning and gave us breakfast treats for the journey. He dropped us off at the Beijing West station where Cathy had carefully mapped out exactly where to go and had arranged our tickets on the bullet train. The train ride was a bit over 4 hours but we kept busy by looking out the window as we passed through the country side and big cities that we had never known about. When we arrived in Xi’an we were met by Lucia. Lucia spoke perfect English and was so welcoming and attentive to our needs. She expertly explained the history of the warriors as we drove to the site. Because we were hungry, we decided to eat lunch first and Lucia brought us to a restaurant where we enjoyed delicious Biang Biang noodles as well as chicken and vegetables. Energy restored, we then visited the 3 exhibition rooms and the museum. Lucia continues to explain the history of the excavation and the subtle differences between the warriors that indicated their positions. She was so knowledgeable and made the warriors really come to life. Lucia always showed us the best angles for viewing and for photos and always offered to take photos of us. Honestly, it was like visiting with a very smart friend! After visiting the site, Lucia treated us to fresh pomegranate juice ( pomegranates are a local crop) and she and the driver drove us back to the train station. Lucia brought us to the waiting area for our platform and bade us goodbye. The train ride back was uneventful and after our busy day, we dozed off. Next thing we knew, we were back in Beijing where our driver met us and brought us back to our hotel. I can’t say enough good things about this tour! Cathy planned everything so perfectly and was continually checking in with us during the day to make sure everything was going well. We are so happy that we decided to book this tour! It was a dream come true!

All communication with Cathy was excellent from the time of booking, through the day of travel right until we arrived back to Beijing. Everything went smoothly. Transfers were easily found and the vehicles very clean. Our guide Irene was very friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure we had as much time as we needed at each spot and explained the history and information very well. She was very kind to also accommodate my dietary request at lunch where we enjoyed a local specialty of Xi’an. This is an incredible spot to visit and highly recommend this company to make it happen on a day trip from Beijing.

An amazing experience, well worth doing and you won’t be beaten on price! We checked already! Before we arrive to China Cathy communicated clear instructions and direction for the day (via what’s app) so we knew what to expect on the day. We provided our hotel information/group size and were collected promptly at 6:45am. Breakfast was provided for us, so ate that on the go. Dropped off at Beijing station, their were a few identification checks then we took the bullet train to Xi’an bay (four hours) and again Cathy sent a message to say you are getting off at the next stop. At Xi’an we were met by our tour guide Serena (Look out for a sign with your name) it’s a 40 minute journey to the Terracotta Army. We had the most delicious traditional lunch, get the bi-ang bi-ang noodles with a side of spicy beef and vinegar and sugar pork. IT WAS TO DIE FOR! The tour itself was lead by Serena, who was extremely informative. You will come away with a good knowledge of the Qin dynasty and if you didn’t already have an appreciation for Chinese history you will after. We visited on a Sunday during October half term in the afternoon and the foot fall was thankfully considerably lower, as we had a pram and need to stop at intervals to feed. There are a great deal of step, so Serena kept to the smoothest course possible for our ease and comfort. A big thank you to her and the team for a truly wonderful experience, it was seamless!
