Temple of Heaven
Temple of Heaven is the largest Imperial place of worship from ancient times, which is a place for ancient Ming and Qing dynasties emperors pray for good harvest. Now, it is also a park where the local community utilizes this beautiful and enormous space for social activities such as singing, dancing, and Tai chi practice exercise.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. You will spend a couple of hours wandering around this amazing example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace. For around 500 years , it served as the home of emperors and their households from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government. Tour route: Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family.
Shichahai Scenic Resort
Hutong is a Mongolian word meaning water well. At nine meters (about 30 feet) wide, it is the name given to a lane or small street that originated during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). Walk around old Beijing hutong nearby Shichahai Lake. Now they have become representatives of local culture, thus it is still the first choice for people who would like to learn about the local history and culture.

You will have your own choice of taking the cable car or chair lift up to the breathtaking wall, spend 1 to 2 hours leisurely hiking up and down the various sections to explore the Watch Towers, admire at the construction of marveling beauty of the renown and legendary Wall. After hiking, You will have option of an exhilarating toboggan ride back down or just simply return the way you came.

She was passionate about her work and was very informative with the rich history in Beijing. We would highly recommend Jenny as a tour guide as we spent 2 enjoyable days seeing all the main tourist sites in Beijing.

He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and his command of the English language was exceptional, which made our tour both enjoyable and easy to follow. I would highly recommend **Catherine Lu Tours**. Booking with them was very easy, the prices were very reasonable, and Catherine communicates promptly and replies to emails very quickly. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish.

5.00We had a fantastic and memorable two-day Beijing Highlights Tour with Catherine’s Tours, guided by Sonia. Sonia took us to great spots and made sure we arrived at the Great Wall early to avoid the crowds — we had an almost empty experience and saw the crowds arriving as we left, which was amazing. Sonia was knowledgeable, personable, and great fun to spend time with. Her energy and warmth made a big difference, especially as we were a bit tired from travel. She also picked excellent local restaurants for lunch. A wonderful start to our trip in China — we’d highly recommend this tour and Sonia to anyone visiting Beijing.

5.00This tour is the best way to see Beijing in two days if you have time constraints. It is well paced, covers the key highlights efficiently, and removes all the typical stress around tickets, transport, and timing. I strongly recommend Jenny as your guide. She was punctual, warm, and very organised, so the days flowed smoothly without feeling rushed. Her explanations were clear and interesting, and she adapted the schedule to what we cared about most. The food was another standout. The restaurants Jenny chose were exceptional, and it was genuinely the best food I ate in China. One of my favourite moments was at the Summer Palace, where we were lucky enough to catch the first snow during our visit. It made the scenery feel magical and turned a great stop into a truly memorable one.
