The experience is entirely interactive from start to finish and you'll learn all about the wonderful sensory world we live in through incredible mixed drinks and cocktails.
Take home the recipes for the serves you've enjoyed and experience the incredible audio visual experience that is The Inhibitor Room.
People who are photosensitive may be affected by the experience. This is an alcohol based experience, so it is for adults only. Our historic venue is very old and has a lot of stairs, so we regretfully cannot cater for wheelchair users or people who find stairs difficult.
We can cater for all dietary requirements and have incredible non-alcoholic alternatives.

What To Expect
Drink and think. Find out why you like what you like through a series of sensory experiments and incredible cocktails that use only the best locally distilled spirits. Do some bizarre experiments, find out what kind of taster you are, and take a trip into the Inhibitor's audiovisual world. Then, enjoy some cocktails on the rooftop that have been chosen by your emotional memory and the incredible sensory spectrum through which you experience the world. This experience is set over 3 floors in one of Belfast's oldest buildings and includes 4 incredible cocktails.

5.00Great experience! We learned so much about our personal taste preferences that we never thought of. The cocktails served were very good but the best was the cocktail that was specifically made for each of us based on our personal preferences during the sampling of different flavors. Hard to explain the experience but definitely worth doing. Paul was an outstanding leader. Highly recommend.

5.00Booked the Sensorium Experience for my niece's 18th birthday and we had so much fun! Sarah was our host, she did a great job for her first time hosting (she shared this with us) guiding us through the experience 👌 well done! Aoife really enjoyed exploring the table activities and having the different rooms kept everyone guessing what was coming next. The final activity on the rooftop creates a lovely atmosphere, well worth all the steps 🤣. Really enjoyed the celebrations, a great idea for getting a group of friends/family together to experience something different in the city 🥳💕

5.00We did the sensorium cocktail experience yesterday for my birthday. It was so much fun !!! Anton was very good and fun, good couple of hours craic and very knowledgeable. Without giving away too much, you will not believe your senses but you will thoroughly enjoy it. Good value considering how many drinks you consume. The rooftop bar was a lovely touch to finish off the whole experience. Well done on creating a great experience !!!!

5.00We did the sensorium cocktail experience for a friend's birthday yesterday. Great fun! Paul was very good, good craic and very knowledgeable. Don't want to give away too much, but you will thoroughly enjoy it! Reasonably priced considering how many drinks you get!!!The rooftop bar was lovely. Well done

3.00A bit unimaginative and pricey for what you got. I thought it would have been more personalised and relevant to cocktail making. The smell shakers were vague and all blurred into each another. All in all a bit amateurish and underwhelming! Sorry, no offence meant, just an honest review.

You’re taken on a journey through the senses to arrive at a cocktail made just for you and the flavours you like. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

5.00We were a hen party with 20 people and everyone loved this experience. Phil, our host, was great and kept everyone's attention. He was also very helpful during earlier correspondence when our numbers had changed. Layout of the setup on the individual tables was good - creating intrigue and anticipation as as we took our seats. Number of cocktails during the experience was good, and they catered for those who don't drink alcohal too. Finishing off on the rooftop area was a nice location to relax and enjoy that last cocktail!
