Leave your guidebook at home and trust the knowledge of our local guide who will captivate you with historical insight of this rising metropolis.

The tour starts from the National Parliament, the monumental building built at the beginning of the 20th century, witnessing the turbulent history of Serbia.

Walking through the always lively Knez Mihailo Street, from Republic Square to the capital church of Belgrade you will have a chance to check the oldest tavern in the city, known for its unusual name "Question Mark -?".

The tour will end at the Belgrade fortress, the most important cultural-historic complex of the city, its tall walls elevated proudly over the confluence of the rivers Sava and Danube. Here, you can also admire the Victor monument, the symbol of the city.

I joined the Red Belgrade Communist Tour on 20 February, and it was one of the most interesting tours I’ve taken. It was very well organized and full of fascinating historical insights. Our guide, Dragor, was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the subject. I especially enjoyed learning about the era of Josip Broz Tito. Dragor explained Tito’s leadership, Yugoslavia’s unique position between East and West, and everyday life during that period in a way that was both informative and easy to understand. The stories and context he shared really brought that time to life. Walking through Belgrade while hearing about its socialist past gave me a completely different perspective on the city. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history, politics, or the legacy of Yugoslavia.

In spite of the rain we had a wonderful tour of Belgrade. Our guide Dragor was very knowledgeable, engaging and a good story teller. His passion for history and love for Belgrade made his tour our favorite tour in Serbia.

Dragor did a nice job tailoring the tour stories to what interested us (we wanted more history.) We did notice that he definitely had a tour agenda and we ended up going over the time since we asked a lot of questions. We tipped extra to make up for it. The tour does not include St. Sava - make time to get there yourself. Definitely the highlight of Belgrade for us.
