This was so worth it! It was awesome to see smaller villages and see how some of the people there live. It was also great to do things besides float down the river. But mostly it was wonderful to not be completely swarmed by tourists. The guides were fantastic. We had such a good time and really enjoyed the scooter rides and food.

A very pleasant day with Chi my guide, she took me first on a very relaxing boat ride (typical) on the arms of the Mekong while explaining to me the way of life of the people here. Then we attended a small local music concert with fruit tasting in a chocolate factory. Then came lunchtime where I was able to taste various regional dishes. Discovery of a production of sweets made from local coconuts. Unfortunately the weather was capricious in the afternoon but we continued our walk through the city with the discovery of the local market (beware of the smells for the most sensitive 👃), typical dishes, coffee tasting and others ... Chi was really very patient, attentive and loves to transmit and explain the various customs and ways of life of her region. I recommend 100%

Chi was an incredible guide. She has an extremely welcoming and warm personality and will do her best to answer all your questions. Despite it being a "tour", it felt more like a good friend bringing me around their hometown. Chi brought me to many local spots including restaurants, markets, cafes, and small stores. The itinerary included a beautiful boat tour, a mat weaving house, their awesome family home (coconut candy, lunch, relax), then to a market, local coffee shop, local restaurant, local fruits, etc! Thanks Chi!

  • Superb! Adventure. Go and be happy.

Chi, has an amazing personality, 😘 such a good kind, helpful and lovely soul. 😍 she has done so so much to make my day as pleasant as possible, best suport on all activities, superb experience guide! I loved so much the excursion on a boat, was so amazing wish this could last longer 😄 than food was just superb! Tasty freshly made, well served, fantastic. Visited the small town market, and also the Farm where people growing a coconut, pomelo and other fruits, also you’ll see how the Mat for sleeping is made. You will be so positive when you going to meet Chi. She will do here best so your experience will be as much enjoyable as it could be. Thank you. 🥰

Unforgettable experience! If you ever happen to visit Mekong Delta stay at Si's and Chung's house and use their co-operative, Mekong Zig Zag to tour around Mr Si was always quick on WhatsApp. He has arranged for a driver to meet us at Ho Chi Minh airport and transfer to Ben Tre in private car. When the road ends in Ben Tre, you are met by a truck driver to transfer you to the remote accommodation located in, literally a middle of jungle. The accommodation houses are made of bamboo with a roof thatched with grass. All mod cons in the private room, also ceiling fans. Lovely. Chung served delicious food on arrival despite way after lunch. Coffee / water station, fridge, hammocks, tables are available in the outdoor reception. Kayaks and bikes are readily available if you want to explore local area on your own. The local ladies helping out at the house are always helpful, able to do laundry and let you taste coconut candy they produce on the terrace serving as a dining room and overlooking the river. Lovely! The following day we have went on all day Mekong tour we had booked prior visiting. We were met by lovely couple who co-run the Mekong Zig Zag, Linh and Dzung and the crew of motorbike drivers and set off on scooters on passenger's seats. Size of tour depends on how many bookings were received the night prior. You could be on your own or joined by others but always small pack Zig-zagging through villages on scooters, visiting local farmers, crossing Mekong using ferry, riding scooters through local food markets (my favourite!) or chilling on a raft with a sail enjoying silent Mekong (well, the locals love karaoke...). Linh and Dzung are very caring and well organized. Despite we were joined by another couple, we felt like on a private tour. One of the best memories of our Asia trip.
