Long day but very interesting. Lots of walking. We were fortunate it was a beautiful sunny day. Bruges was very busy with tourists and it was only May, I booked the tour through Viatours, much less expensive than through the cruise line.

This was the worst excursion ever - Such a waste of a day in beautiful Brugge! The tour description is completely misleading. it implies that you will "step inside" the sites, "admission included," the "canal cruise is 1 hour" but that is all a lie. Instead you will walk past everything you want to see with hardly a glance and no time to go inside. This is just a glorified walking tour that lasts way too long with no stops or bathroom breaks. The canal cruise is only 30 mins just like any other canal cruise you can book separately and their bus parking is 25 mins away from Old Town so you might as well walk from the dock or take a taxi to save time. Our tour guide was completely disorganized and her head sets were tangled and did not work for the first 20 minutes of the tour. She was petite but refused to carry an umbrella or a sign so we kept losing her in the crowds - at one point six of us were completely lost. She babbled on about useless information (her family, her sister, her childhood, hating her job, etc.) We asked to separate from the group so we could visit a chapel and meet them at the canal cruise and she refused. Four ppl left the tour completely! At the end, we only had 45 mins to explore the old town on our own. We asked her to call a taxi back to the bus lot instead of walking another 25 mins and she gave the driver the wrong address. We almost missed the bus. Finally, 10 mins into the trip back to the port she askes on the PA if the couple who took the taxi made it on the bus. Seriously - she wasn't even counting to make she she has all her group members. Worst way to spend a day in Brugge. It would have been so much better to just book a canal cruise on our own and take a taxi from the dock to the old town on our own.

Our cruise ship was unable to get into port as there was a strike. We found out later strike had been ongoing and tour operators knew this as previous cruise ship did not dock! We were not advised by operators and of course the 24 hr deadline had passed! Contacted tour operator and they were very prompt in putting through the $2000cdn charge but slow in responding to my request for info. Viator has requested more info re cruise ship reschedule. Bottom line tour operator not helpful at all, cruise ship passengers BEWARE!

Charlie met us at the port outside the gates. They waited for us, since our ship had a late arrival. We were transferred to Bruges for a lovely day of sightseeing and a canal boat ride. I only wish we could have stayed a little longer. We will definitely return to this beautiful UNESCO site.

The tour guide for our walking tour was quite slow. We would also have liked greater detail about the history of Brugge. There was some confusion among the tour group as to whether the canal tour was included, and for many it was not. We did take the canal tour and found it to add a much more complete perspective of the city.

Wonderful walking tour and our guide Krista was amazing. She was from Bruge and had so much knowledge and personal stories that it just really made the experience extra special. Also we had a wonderful canal cruise that was so beautiful. It was the best excursion of our vacation and made us want to come back and spend a week there.

I’ll start with the good. We enjoyed having a smaller van take us to and from Bruges. Some of the information provided during the tour was great, like the visit at the Convent. However, that’s where the enjoyment ended for us. Our tour guide was very nice, but kept getting distracted (talked about cobblestones for an extended period of time, rambled on about a statue we weren’t going to be seeing while standing next to a monument that was on the itinerary, etc). It got to the point where we just wanted to go do our own thing and see the rest on our own, so we skipped the canal tour (that we paid for) and the tour guide told us to be back in 3 hours. In those 3 hours, we went on our own to see the Belfry Tower (which was on the itinerary but never pointed out or mentioned), Grand Place, lunch, a beer museum, a fry shop, and multiple chocolate shops. I wouldn’t recommend the tour at all. My opinion may be different had our tour guide (albeit very nice) had stayed focused and stayed on course.

I loved seeing Bruges! What a delightful place. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. There was actually too much to see in the allotted time, so I felt a little rushed. There were also no restroom breaks built into the tour, and it was too long a tour to not have a restroom break. Other than that, it was a great tour. I would love to go back and see more. The boat tour was fun. All the walking and the sights were wonderful. I highly recommend the tour.

Cruise ship cancelled stop in this port because of weather and this company did not want to refund us because of the 24hr cancellation like we knew cruise was going to cancel, then tells us to ask cruise for refund, if you do not buy with the cruise, how can we ask for a refund? Unfair and by the way did not even considered we (4) bought all tours with them. Will definitely not recommend if you don't want to loose your money...

Our tour guide was Verique (??). She was excellent. Shared lots of history and facts and fun facts with us. Gave us a great walking tour of Brugge. Waited when we went on canal cruise at the end to make sure we were good to go on our own. Helped with directions for going to a specific place. The only issue I had was despite being a small group of 7 vox boxes would have been very helpful. It was hard to hear at times or we were still taking pix when she moved on. Also the detailed itinerary implied you would be at the place for eg 15 minutes when in reality it included the walk to get there.
