Amazing DMZ Tour with Jenny!

5.00My husband, 7-year-old son, and I had a great time on our DMZ tour. Our tour guide, Jenny, was so personable, knowledgeable, and passionate. I loved that she shared her family story with us and how the divide between South and North Korea affected her family. We were picked up for our tour at 6:30am and were back on the bus around 1pm to head back. Our tour consisted of Imjingak Park, the Third Infiltration Tunnel, Dora Observatory, and the unification village. Keep in mind that this tour requires some hiking and steep inclines. The tunnel, especially, could be difficult for someone who is claustrophobic or has health issues. I am an overall healthy woman and the climb back up from the tunnel was challenging. We also had to hike uphill to the observatory and walk flights of stairs to get to the top floor. There are elevators to take you up if you wish, though. Overall, we enjoyed our tour and are so glad we made the trip out to the DMZ with Jenny. You will not be disappointed with her as your tour guide. She is amazing!

5.00Amazing tour showing the DMZ and the history between the separation of North and South Korea. Our tour guide Diane was fantastic! Funny, entertaining, super lovely and very knowledgeable. It is an all day too but filled with so many things to do and see. The third tunnel requires a lot of energy but well worth it for those who are willing. 100% would do the tour again when visiting Seoul.

5.00Took the DMZ tour with VIP Tour and had an amazing experience thanks to our guide, Diane. She was incredibly informative and clearly passionate about sharing the ins and outs of the Korean War and the ongoing story between North and South Korea. Diane gave very detailed explanations at every stop, especially around Paju, the Cow Bridge, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, and the observation areas, helping us understand not just what we were seeing, but why it mattered. She also shared the history and personal stories behind the pain and separation that both North and South Koreans have had to endure, which made the tour much more meaningful and emotional. On top of her knowledge, Diane is a very cheerful and engaging guide, which made the whole day enjoyable and never boring, even during the bus rides. Her energy, clear explanations, and willingness to answer questions really elevated the experience. If you are considering a DMZ tour, go with VIP Tour and ask for Diane if you can. You will learn a lot, see key sites up close, and come away with a much deeper understanding of Korea’s past and present.

5.00Guide Diane was helpful and share the history, stories etc of the tour in detailed. I was able to enjoy the trip with sufficient knowledge and awareness. The tunnel walk a bit tiring but still do-eable, not for those with bad knees as the walk upwards was rather tiring

Diane was a great host who was able to share her own family experiences related to the Korean War which combined with her very informative teachings provided us a memorable experience.
