The 1.5 hour walking portion of this tour was really enjoyable. We got a great overview of the history of Barcelona and we got to see some important sites throughout the city. We then got on the bus and headed to Montjuic. That stop was somewhat uneventful - it would have been more interesting if we’d have been able to get off the bus and toured some of the 1992 Winter Olympic locations such as the pool and the track. As it was, we drove by them and they were pointed out but we were not able to see them. We then headed to Park Guell. This was the most unfortunate part of the tour as roads were closed and due to no fault on the part of the tour company, we were delayed in reaching the park by at least 30 minutes. We wandered around the park, somewhat directionless until we finally discovered the Gaudi house, salamander and other important sites. By the time we finally found those spots, it was time to head back to the bus! We could have used another 30 minutes (at least!) in the park. We then had lunch on our own and then headed to Sagrada Familia. At that point, our travel guide was finished and we toured the basilica on our own. We had trouble loading the app (which we learned about 10 minutes before going into the church). Once we downloaded the app, it said it was as going to take 30 minutes to load. So we ended up getting the old style headsets which played the presentation for us. It turned out to be a great way to learn about the basilica, but I wished we’d have known our options from the beginning so we could have been more prepared. Our travel guide, Lydia, did a great job explaining everything. One thing I might add is that it was sometimes hard to hear what she was saying and I would suggest she makes sure to turn towards the group when speaking so everyone can clearly hear her. I would recommend this tour - it was a great way to see all the really important parts of Barcelona. We’d never have been able to glean all of this information on our own!

This is a walking and bus tour. Our guide was wonderful and gave us lots of history and information along the way! The walk didn’t seem long with the informational talks along the way! It was a broad view of the city from old town to the Olympic city and ending up with the familia cathedral! Our guide also gave us the biblical interpretation of the cathedral before we went inside to look for ourselves! It was an awesome day! I highly recommend this tour!!
