What To Expect
West Lake (Xi Hu)
Meet your private guide upon pickup at the Hangzhou railway station or your hotel lobby in Hangzhou city. Set out on a full day of sightseeing in the comfort of an air-conditioned private vehicle, and talk with your guide about any particular interests you have so the commentary and itinerary can be customized. Start with a 35-minute boat ride on tranquil West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site and perhaps Hangzhou's most famous attraction. Relax amid enchanting scenery as your guide points out historic pagodas, Chinese-style arched bridges, tree-lined walkways, green islands and lush gardens.
Finish your cruise at Huagang (Flower Harbor) Park Wharf. A clean stream flows from Huajia Hill to join West Lake, and many flowers grow where the fresh water flows in. Stroll through part of the 54-acre (22-hectare) park to see the many varieties, including a peony garden that blooms in April, and stop at Red Carp Pond — a popular spot for viewing fish.

5.00I cannot ask for more. As soon as I booked online, Bonnie reached out and coodinated with me through WhatsApp. Detailed timing and where we will meet our guide was fully detailed. On the day of the tour, on time meeting always sets the tone for the day. Our guide Sharon arrived before time (great!). We could not ask for a better guide, she was like a young sister listening to what we like and making sure all highlights of Hangzhou are seen. Mr Chen our chauffer was always propective of us as we alight from the vehicle. Six stars service!

3.00My wife and I flew into Hangzhou from Chongqing. After being overawed by the "Cyber City", Hangzhou was a bit of a let down (although Marco Polo apparently described Hangzhou as the "finest and nobles city in the world"). Our tour took us to the usual touristy spots, the Six Harmonies Pagoda and the Linghyin Temple with all its Buddhist statutes. It seems Buddhism is live and well in this part of China. Even the young folk were taking flowers to worship. But for me, the highlight of our visit was probbly our cruise on West Lake, a deseverdly World Heritage Site. We also visited a small tea plantation but missed our boat ride on the Grand Canal which we were looking forward to as it is reputed to be the longest and oldest man-made waterway.

5.00A tour of Hangzhou's West Lake (Xihu) is an absolutely magical and unforgettable experience! 🤩 The landscape perfectly blends natural beauty with classical Chinese art and history. Gliding across the water on a traditional boat to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon (which is even on the 1 RMB banknote!) gives you the most serene views of the surrounding hills, pagodas, and willow-lined causeways. The guide’s recommendation of lunch at Green Tea restaurant is nice. Highly recommended!

5.00My guide was Leo and he is very knowledgeable on the history of Hangzhou, especially the myth and stories of the city. I did the city day tour on my first day, and continued with the Zhang Yimou’s musical - Impression West Lake (影像西湖) on Day 2 I did the Wuzhen water town day tour, a town outside of Hangzhou city. Overall great experience of Hangzhou as this was my first time in the this ancient city with rich history and modern architecture. I highly recommended this tour to any first timer coming to Hangzhou.

5.00It was a lot of fun. We went to many places and Leo took us to places not many people knew about such as the Six Harmony Pagoda. He also took us for lunch to a Michelin recommended restaurant wherein we had the yummiest noodles despite being vegetarians!
