This tour will introduce you to local Tirana and its traditional food and cuisine. Tirana, an urban metropolis full of contrasts, in which the scars from the past and the present coexist. It is a city where the fine delicate art of the beginning of the 20th century is mixed with cold rectangular shapes of the communist period, and in between, modern new buildings bloom.
In this one-day tour, we will discover some of the most interesting parts of the city combined with a lot of local flavors, interesting stories, and friendly locals. And of course, all of it while tasting a flavorful mix of Albanian cuisine with more than 5 different stops.

We had a fantastic food tour in Tirana! Our tour guide Aron was incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his city. He shared the history and culture of Tirana while introducing us to delicious traditional Albanian food along the way. The approach was very personal, private, and friendly since it was just me and my friend, which made the experience even more special. What made the tour even better was how natural and enjoyable it felt — it was more like hanging out with a friend than being on a formal tour. We truly enjoyed the conversations, the food and learning about the city all at the same time from a local perspective. We highly recommend taking this tour if you are visiting Tirana! Thanks again Aron 😊

Had a great time tasting and exploring Tirana with Redi as guide. Communication before about timing and meetup was easy. The food was varied and delicious, and he also gave us options when possible. Redi was very knowledgeable about not only Tirana and Albania, but also other countries to give context to the history. I would definitely recommend this tour :)

We had a very nice experience on this tour. It was a small group but we ate traditional food and visited parts of the city which would have likely not found left on our own.

Reidi was the best!!!!!! He was so kind and really took his time to make the tour personalized and great. Got to try authentic local dishes that I wouldn’t have even known about and then split a large family style lunch at the end. If you only have one day in Tirana do this!!!!!

We had an amazing time with Redi, perfect mix of Albanian history, current events and Albanian food. It was just 4 of us which gave us the opportunity to share information on each other’s culture. The pride he has for his country really showed. We love doing food tours because it gives us an opportunity to learn and taste the local cuisine that we would have never ordered on our own. The food he introduced us to was delicious and we have since ordered it in other restaurants. You can’t go wrong with this tour.

If you want discover Tirana's essence, find out more about Albania's history and culture, I recommend to book a trip with Go As aa Local. Our guide, Xhulio, took us through Tirana streets and while enjoying traditional Albanian culinary experience, he answered our questions about the current social and political situation in the region. If you want a fun and relaxing experience in Tirana "go as a local".

Redi gave a really good private tour. Good first impression of Albania and Tirana. Couldn't ask for better food either. Recommend!

Been on this tour with a work colleague who is from the area. In addition to historical knowledge and nice conversations, the cuisine was not neglected and those who have little to no insights from Mediterranean cuisine will certainly not go wrong. You don’t feel hungry for portions either. The only manco is that, for example, no described oil tasting was carried out but that evened out loosely with a delicious ice cream/corn drink. Operators should update expectations here. Highly recommended, however, and thanks again to Redi a young sympathetic guide who immediately conversed sympathetically in English with me and in Albanian with my work colleague.
