What To Expect
Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon
Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, built in the late 1880s by French colonists, is one of the few remaining strongholds of Catholicism in the largely Buddhist Vietnam. Located in Paris Square, the name Notre Dame was given after the installation of the statue ‘Peaceful Notre Dame’ in 1959. In 1962, the Vatican conferred the Cathedral status as a basilica and gave it the official name of Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Measuring almost 60 metres in height, the cathedral’s distinctive neo-Romanesque features include the all-red brick façade (which were imported from Marseille), stained glass windows, two bell towers containing six bronze bells that still ring to this day, and a peaceful garden setting in the middle of downtown Ho Chi Minh City District 1.
Saigon Central Post Office
The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh is a beautifully preserved remnant of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. Located next door to Notre Dame Cathedral, the two cultural sites can be visited together and offers visitors a chance to imagine life in Vietnam during the times of the Indochinese Empire. The building was designed by Alfred Foulhoux and features arched windows and wooden shutters, just as it would have in its heyday in the late 19th Century.

5.00Dorothy & Driver met us bang on time at the Cruise Terminal and we then spent 7 plus hours on a fantastic tour of Saigon. This included a traditional coffee shop stop & Pho lunch. Dorothy speaks perfect English (plus Spanish) & is very knowlegable about all the places to visit (don't miss the Buddha Temple, war museum & tourist market). All in all ticked all the boxes and half the price of a similar cruise excursion!

From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable and truly welcomed—not rushed, not treated like tourists, but like guests he was proud to show his city to. Justine has a deep knowledge of Vietnam’s history, culture, and traditions, and he shares it in a way that’s engaging and easy to follow. What we appreciated most was how naturally he blended important historical sites with everyday local life. He also took us to experience authentic Vietnamese food and popular local coffee—simple, delicious moments that added so much to the day. What truly stood out was his kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. 5.00Excellent full day tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Picked up from and returned to cruise port. Comfortable air conditioned van with driver and guide. The guide Vincent was excellent. He spoke perfect English, was very informative, made sure we saw the iconic sites and adapted to meet our requests to see a couple different markets. The driver was also amazing and the experience weaving through traffic was a highlight we hadn't anticipated but thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this tour and the guide Vincent.

5.00Our tour guide Aimond contacted us and let us know where to meet him with a photo of himself. He was the best. He went above and beyond to give us the best day possible. He added 2 places to our tour that I requested. This tour was myself my husband, Aimond and the happiest driver I have ever met. Today was perfect. Can't thank Aimond enough. 5.00This is an excellent tour. Peter was awesome. Very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Excellent language skills. He took great care of us and got us back to the ship in time. Our driver was safe and the van we were in exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.
