Discover the best of the Troodos Mountains and traditional villages on this small-group journey through nature, history, and local culture.
Our first stop is the picturesque village of Laneia, where flower-lined streets and stone houses reveal the island’s charm. Continue to Troodos Square, surrounded by pine forests — enjoy a coffee and browse stalls with local products.
Next, visit the magnificent Kykkos Monastery, founded in the 11th century and famed for its gold decoration and the holy icon of the Virgin Mary. Nearby, admire breathtaking views from Throni tis Panagias, the resting place of Archbishop Makarios III.
Enjoy lunch at a traditional mountain restaurant, taste local wines at a family winery, and end the day in Omodos Village — visit its monastery, try local sweets, and stroll through its pretty stone streets with small craft shops.

What To Expect
Our first stop will be at the picturesque Village of Laneia; a walk through the beautiful flower lined streets and stone houses. We will see the Old Wine press of the village, as well as the Olive Mill.
Troodos Mountains
Next stop will be in Troodos Mountains Square, in the surroundings of the pinewoods, you may enjoy a coffee break and wander around the Stalls selling traditional products.

5.00It was such a memorable day! You took us to places that would have been hard for us to visit on our own, and we were able to explore charming villages and monastery efficiently. At the winery, we enjoyed tasting a wide variety of wines. I was traveling with my mother, who isn’t very used to traveling abroad, but thanks to this tour and the very kind guide, both of us truly enjoyed the experience from the bottom of our hearts.

5.00The minibus winds its way gently up the winding roads. We’re heading into the Troodos Mountains, where we’re shown in historic villages how people used to live here and, for example, how they made wine and olive oil. Our guide is also our driver, Chris. He knows his way around, tells stories with humor, and involves his guests. The journey, enriched with music and interesting facts about Cyprus, continues to a coffee and souvenir stop. A plus: no one is pressured to buy anything; everything is optional. The highlight of the excursion is ultimately the visit to the monastery and Throni tis Panagias — places you simply must see when traveling in Cyprus. Your culinary needs are also taken care of at the restaurant that follows, which offers a wide selection (note that the price for lunch is not included). A wine tasting and a visit to Omodos with its charming shops, cafés, and bakeries round out the tour, which delivers on its promises.

5.00We had the best time in Trodoos!!! Thank you Ascot Travel and Tours and especially to Chris, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of all the places we visited making each of our stop more interesting. He is also very friendly and fun to be with. Can't wait to avail more tours in the future.

5.00A most enjoyable excursion which included a seasonal joy of snow on the higher sections of the tour. The mountains of Troodos are spectacular and having Socrates as our tour guide made it all the more enjoyable, he being both a very safe driver and knowledgable guide. With the variety of villages, mountains, the most famous Cyprus monastery and wine tasting, it was, in retrospect, the most overall enjoyable of our holiday.

5.00We had a great time on this trip and Chris the guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. We were picked up from and returned to our hotel even though it was not a designated pick up location which was very helpful. We were in a very clean vehicle and with only 2 other people which was great. As it is only January all the destinations were not crowded and therefore we could explore at our leisure it was however very cold so take appropriate clothing if going up the mountains in winter!! The food at the designated lunch stop was ok but but not great but overall this was a great trip and very good value for money!
Socrates the tour guide was outstanding.

5.00What an awesome day from 8.15 till nearly 6pm So much packed into this tour . Stunning villages and the history that Socrates ( our guide) knew . He informed us of so much history and the land and recent events and social things ( as he is born and bred and lives here ) and how Cyprus has developed over the last 20 years . He absolutely knows so much and is also so enthusiastic and entertaining as well. The variety of places we went to including the monastery and the grave of the first president Seeing the villages in the mountains snd so many stories behind them that Socrates told. Fascinating You felt at the end that you had seen the truest of Cyprus and glowed with its love . Must say please take this trip as it is absolutely breathtaking. Socrates as s guide is tremendous. 5.00Chris, our guide and driver, shared interesting and useful insights about Cyprus history and local places to visit in a clear and engaging way, with a good sense of humour. Safe and confident driver.The music during the drive was a nice touch. We visited beautiful monasteries and churches, enjoyed incredible views of the Troodos Mountains, fascinating historical sites and a lovely wine tasting. Hotel pickup and return were right on time.
