Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
This unique and sacred place is a must see place in Ubud. There are many wild life inside the thick forest. Walk along the path under the shade and see many birds, lizards, butterflies and monkeys among the trees. It is a perfect set for the real wild life. There are 3 sacred temples to balance this area. Local people usually come to pray on a special ceremony day.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Drive to the north of Ubud to stop at the magical Tegalalang rice terrace to see the real traditional farmer activities in their daily activities. Have a short walk among the lush green rice field view.

5.00Had a nice daytour, seen a lot. Lunch at the restaurant was very tasty. Driver/guide Hendra was very friendly and spoke excellent english. He knows much about the stops and bali life. Felt very safe in the car because he was very good safe driver.

As a wonderful extra bonus, he also took us to try local coffee and unique black honey, which was a fantastic experience. 5.00Leo was an amazing tour guide. Had to amend our tour on the fly due to heavy rain in the morning closing the main waterfall, but the alternative one he brought us to was amazing. The the temple and swing was good and included lunch if you pay for it was delicious, would highly recommended this tour and if you are lucky to get Leo, he will definitely give you all the information you need.

5.00We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Ma-de during our Ubud tour and I honestly couldn’t recommend him highly enough. From start to finish he was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Bali and its culture. He took us to so many incredible places including Tegenungan Waterfall, Tirta Empul Temple, the Ubud Monkey Forest, the Rice Terraces, Ubud Market and the coffee plantation, and every stop felt well organised and relaxed with plenty of time to properly enjoy the experience rather than feeling rushed. Ma-de’s knowledge throughout the day was outstanding. He explained the history and cultural significance behind the temples and local traditions in a really engaging way and answered every question we had. He also gave us great local recommendations and tips throughout the day which made the experience feel much more personal and authentic. The Monkey Forest was definitely one of the highlights, such an unforgettable experience getting so close to the monkeys in their natural surroundings! The rice terraces and waterfall were absolutely stunning and the coffee plantation experience was really interesting too. What really stood out though was Ma-de himself. He made the entire day fun, comfortable and stress free. He was patient, attentive, took amazing photos for us and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. You can tell he truly cares about his guests having a memorable time in Bali. If you are visiting Bali and looking for a driver or tour guide, book with Ma-de. You will not regret it. A genuine 5-star experience from start to finish.
