Your first stop in Ubud is the ever-popular Ubud Monkey Forest, an Indiana Jones landscape that’s home to bands of roving macaques. Your driver/guide will show you how to interact with them safely.
Next, head to the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, one of Ubud’s most beautiful rice-field landscapes. Just a little further north, fill up your camera roll with a quintessential Ubud experience, a jungle swing, then have lunch overlooking the forest.
After lunch, go deeper into Balinese culture when your driver/guide introduces the sacred springs of Tirta Empul Temple. Your final stop before your driver drops you back is the spectacular Tegenungan Waterfall, a roaring 50-foot (15-meter) cascade set amid lush forest.

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Interact with macaques at Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest Built in the middle of 14th century, this renowned monkey habitat and conservation center is often highlighted as a mandatory visit for every traveler. Located precisely in the busiest part of Ubud, it serves as a demonstration of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature where spiritual and physical world collide.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Walk the famous Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site This famous paddy field was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being the embodiment of the Balinese irrigation system & agrarian societal code known as Subak. Take a walk on the slope across the valley and witness local farmers’ activities as they plant, monitor and harvest the rice fields, depending on time.

5.00It was an amazing experience. Tara, our driver, was such a pleasant and helping person. We had such good conversations about Balinese culture, religion and temples. He also made us excellent recommandations as to where to go, time to go and other useful insights. He speaks excellent English and we laughed a lot. Oh, he was also an excellent driver in the chaotic traffic of Bali which gave us a strong feeling of safety. The car was just as good: perfectly clean, with A/C for each passenger, new, comfortable, spatious and silent. Tara and his car made our day perfect. Fantastic value for money!
