First of all, our guide, May, was one of the best guides we have had on a tour. Her knowledge of the area was a great plus to the experience. The day was the perfect combination of seeing the sights and learning the culture. The hike up the 500 steps was a wonderful experience and gave us a little exercise on top of the fantastic views. The boat ride was so much fun and you get to look up to where you hiked which gives you a nice “I did that” moment. Such an outstanding day and again, “May” made it the best.

We had an incredible day trip to Ninh Binh! Our guide, Phil, arrived at our hotel promptly to pick us up. He’s super friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and his English is excellent! The trip was jam-packed with exciting activities, and the scenery was breathtaking. Be prepared to walk, hike, and climb a bit! Lunch was delicious traditional food. The kids loved the bike ride. Our group ranged from 11 to 65, and everyone had fun and was amazed by the area’s beauty. We all had a blast with Phil in Ninh Binh, and it’s a day we’ll cherish forever!

Glad we chose a private tour for today trip. Our guide could have been better - his English wasn’t very good and he didn’t take very good photos of us. We enjoyed the scenery in Trang An, the bicycle ride in Tam Coc and the views from atop the 500 steps.

We had a blast of a time. Minh was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had, anywhere in the world! He went out of his way to adapt the tour to our needs and limitations, and consistently had our comfort at heart. At no point did we feel he was just checking the boxes, but he had real passion for introducing people to this part of Viet Nam. He also had incredible knowledge of the history of the places we visited. Kudos also to our excellent driver. Ninh Binh in a day is doable if you are short on time. It may be a place worth a couple days’ stay. Definitely go to Trang An, we chose it over Tam Coc and were glad we did. The lunch was well thought out but the taste a little underwhelming. I would recommend this itinerary to others in a heartbeat!

Our trip with Tommy was outstanding. He was at our pick up point on time with great energy and enthusiasm to start our day. Tommy accommodated our request without hesitation and ensured our day was exactly what we wanted. We cannot thank him enough for our memorable experience. Our skilled driver as well was courtesy and professional. This tour is more expensive than others but this is an experience with great value and beautiful memories were made.
