What To Expect

We will take you on an unforgettable journey, staying at some of the most charming places in the wilderness while also discovering some of the world's best national parks. Both Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater are listed as UNESCO's World Heritage Site. After visiting these parks, you will understand why. The safari also gives you the opportunity for a real down-to-earth experience by joining one of our walking safaris in the park and the hike to the Elephant Caves in the Ngorongoro conservation area. Join us and enjoy endless plains filled with wildlife, peace, quiet and spectacular sunsets. On this trip, you will also get to visit Tarangire, the wonderful elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. Be prepared for new encounters!

Best trip ever!!!! We were so excited about our safari but our time with Joseph exceeded all our expectations. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, taught us so much about Tanzania and the wildlife and was so fun to be around. He helped us organize all the things we wanted to do and made every day perfect. Everywhere we went, it seemed like Jospeh was the best guide because we got to see so many animals and almost all of them so up close because he knew exactly where to go and how to spot them. Others spent days in the park without seeing some things but we got it all. Everywhere we stayed was great, food was great, people were great, we hope to come back one day and do another trip with Joseph! Thank you for everything!

Me and my wife had the best experience using down2earth safaris. Our guide Baboo took such good care of us and had us booked at some really nice camps with superb food and a taste of luxury while enjoying serengeti and all the beautiful animals it has to offer. Couldn’t ask for more. Next time we will bring the kids! Higly recommend down2earth safaris💚

Our guide Babuu showed us so many animals and answered all our questions. He was so nice and knowledgeable. The lodges was luxurious and food delicious! Highly recommend Down 2 Earth Safaris! This was an incredible, memorable experience.

We joined a Safari through Serengeti arranged by Down 2 Earth. Our family of four (kids 13 and 14) and our friends' family of four (kids 14 and 17) We opted for a five day safari, most of it spent in Serengeti but with a day in Ngorongoro as well. Not being used to Safari's - nor having visited the African continend prior to this - we were amazed of the richness of wildlife we saw. Just the "commute" getting in to the park from Arusha was amazing. I credit a lot of this to the Down 2 Earth guides and their knowledge of the parks and where the spots were good. Our two guides (one per car) were very likeable and great resources for presenting what we saw, they were also, in all simplicity, great guys to hang around - a prerequisite when you spend upwards of twelve hours a day in a car. We can wholeheartedly recommend joining a Down 2 Earth safari and would not shy away from doing so again should the opportunity arise!

One of the best trips we have taken! We were on a 6 day Safari with our amazing guide Babuu, who was super friendly, knowledgeable and kind. We saw so many amazing things on the Safari, and we travelled to ledd touristy places, which was Perfect. The accomodations were very nice, clean and comfortable. The food was the best we had in African, and we even had breakfast with elephants! Would 100% recommene this trip and company to everyone!

An incredible experience from start to finish. We had a lovely time with our guide babuu that showed us all the amazing animals and answered all our questions! Food in the lodges was delicious and we felt safe and in good hands, even when there was lions outside our tent! A must to experience at least once in your life!

The most incredible safari experience we could have ever hoped for. Our guide, Babuu, was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and experienced during the entire tour. He took us to secluded places in Serengeti and we saw lions, baby cubs up close, a lion chase, rhinos, elephants 5 metres away from our car, cheetas, leopards, and so much more! The entire tour felt safe, comfortable and exciting! Could not recommend Down 2 Earth Safaris enough

This safari was one of the most amazing experiences I have had. We could not have asked for a better guide and driver in Babuu Pallangyo! We did Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tangire on our 5-day safari. Every day we saw lots of incredible animals and beautiful nature. Babuu was very flexible and helpful. We had a passenger with certain needs and he had no problems accommodating to them. We could also choose how we wanted to spend the day, whether it was 12 hours of safari or only a few. 10/10 would recommend. This was truly memorable.

We had an amazing four-day safari with Down 2 Earth Safaris, and our guide Babuu made it a truly unforgettable experience. He was very accommodating, adjusting the schedule with start times that suited us perfectly. Babuu spoke excellent English and answered all of our questions thoroughly, whether they were about Tanzania in general or about the animals and the safari itself. He skillfully kept us away from tourist traps but explained what they were in case we wanted to visit. The vehicle was comfortable and well-equipped, with a fridge stocked with drinks, which Babuu had thoughtfully filled for us. He also packed lunch for us on the first day, which was a great touch and made the start of our adventure even better. Babuu had a great sense of when to engage in small talk and when to let us enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. He even knew a bit of Norwegian, which added a fun and personal touch to the trip. Babuu was both friendly and funny, making the entire safari feel relaxed and enjoyable. All in all, it was an incredible safari experience, and we highly recommend Down 2 Earth Safaris!
