The Waitangi Mountain Bike Park is a purpose built mountain bike park with over 50km of world class trails built by the professionals. There are tracks to suit all abilities from families and novices to experts!
All our trips include a high quality Full-Suspension Mountain Bike or the all popular Full-Suspension Electric Bikes, helmet, map, trail advice, and also the mountain bike park entry which is a donation to trail building and trail maintenance - Keeping the community park going!
Please note: If booking a Child's Bike, this is for either 20 or 24 inch Front Suspension Mountain Bike. Anyone over 150cm is on an Adult's Bike, so please book accordingly. The ages we have listed on here are to be used as a guideline, please contact us if you have any queries about Bike Sizing on 021 187 8192.

What To Expect
Paihia Mountain Bikes
Park up at The Waitangi Mountain Bike Park Entrance and you will find us straight away, ready to rent you a high quality mountain bike so you can spend half or all day exploring the World-Class MTB Park. The Waitangi Mountain Bike Park provides the perfect introduction to mountain biking with lots of easy, scenic trails that you can take at your own pace. It currently offers over 20 trails (50km) of varying difficulty with great flow and features, from introductory downhill riding, jump trails, cross country, beginner trails and loads of tracks for the experts too. There are plenty of fast, flowing berms, rollers and jumps, as well as an amazing view of the Bay of Islands from the top. Grade 2 and 3 runs are so well built, they're still fun for more advanced riders, and the downhill trails milk the most out of the vertical elevation available providing a lot of fun for a small amount of climbing With the bike hire we INCLUDE your ENTRY PASS to the park. This goes straight back into Trail Building and Trail Maintenance, so we really couldn't do it without you!! We stock brand new, quality Full-Suspension and Front Suspension Mountain Bikes, perfect for both the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park. The full suspension bikes are a huge relief on the back, and exceptionally comfortable, it makes for a much smoother ride and takes out all the bumps and rocks you didnt even know where there. The front suspension bikes are great as well, perfect for exploring and a do-it-all machine! Our Expert Staff will be happy to fit you and your group to the right sized bike and ensure you know how to ride properly to ensure you have the most enjoyment riding possible :) *Park Maps, helmets, gel seat and entry pass are provided with any bike hire- everything you need!

5.00Abby and crew were absolutely fantastic to communicate and work with. We had a great time exploring the different tracks and got lots of breaks to catch our breath and enjoy our surroundings. Every time we took a different track, the coaches would tell us what to expect and what best to do. Thanks team, Kerikeri High School International will definitely be coming back.

5.00Johnny and the team were spot on with email replies when organising our trip and it was a welcome thing when we got onto the hire bikes and they were nicely serviced and capable dual suspension eMTBs. The Waitangi trails were fun and a great introduction to our rides around teh North Island of NZ. Only shame was the cafe (separately run) was not open on weekdays, but as a business owner myself I can understand that when it is starting to head into the off season. But being the start of the off season, we had the trails pretty much to ourselves, which was awesome.

5.00Fours hours of complete fun. Our family of 4, including two teenager sons loved the trails in the forest. There were challenges for everyone. Staff super friendly, offered great advice and provide well maintained bikes&helmets. Loved it and will try and return before heading home.

5.00Booked a pair of rental bikes over FB messenger a few days before we arrived. On the day, Jono had us quickly out on the trails riding a pair of well maintained and capable bikes. Several hours and nearly 60kms later we were back. This has become a fun part of our summer holidays. Highly recommend the trail park and having Jono and his friendly team there if you need a rental bike or parts/servicing is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended

5.00I decided the day before to go riding in the park, so I just gave them a call for the reservation of my bike. The check-in was easy and the setup of the bike professional. They also providers tipps on where to start which helped a lot, and the bike was very good too. Great experience in total - would do it again!

5.003 of my friends convinced me to try mountain biking so I was a novice going into this. I was blown away with the level of service I received. The team recommended an E bike and that was definitely a great choice as I was able to keep up with the more experienced members in my group. The team took time to explain the bike and which routes would be suitable for our group. They made the whole experience into a really amazing day. The bikes were in excellent condition and the attention to detail was second to none. I came away from the day with a huge smile on my face. I would thoroughly recommend any one of any age or skill level to give this a go as it is worth every minute.
